Knots of Love

There is just something so special about making a blanket for someone you care about. 🩷

This one was made for a friend, stitch by stitch, square by square, with lots of love woven into it. I absolutely love how the soft colors came together, and that dusty pink joining it all together just makes it perfect.

One of my favorite things about crocheting is knowing that something I made with my own two hands will be wrapped around someone I care about for years to come.

Definitely one of those projects that was hard to give away when it was finished. 🧶💕

A couple of years ago I had a request for 10+ elephants and used the original elephant pattern🥰 from Jess Huff. She had written a book about "feelings" using drawings of elephants had seen some elephants my daughter, and I had made. Completed that order for her and last fall she requested 10 baby elephants that looked the same as the big ones. So, I used lighter weight yarn (Lion Brand Pound of love) and a 2.5 crochet hook. The arms and legs are from the original Jess Huff elephant but the ears, head and trunk, are the new pattern elephant from Jess Huff. Made bandanas for each baby elephant and finally completed the order for them just today. I also sewed in a white piece of yarn on the eyes and used black yarn to make an eye brow above each eye. A little touch of pink rogue on the cheeks and 10 baby elephants are born and ready for delivery. Thank you, Jess Huff, for all the lovely patterns, I have made most of them and enjoy making them. A pretty good hobby for an 83 year young lady and her daughter who has taken up the hobby also.
