Six months of Bear Country Bargains ❤️🖤🐻
On February 25, six months ago, we officially opened the doors to our tiny shop with one mission in mind: to bring affordable, brand name clothing and other fun finds to the community we grew up in, at prices that make sense for local families.
Six months later, we’ve sold countless squishies, welcomed so many new faces through our doors, and somehow 670 shirts alone have left our little shop and gone home with members of our community, all brand new with tags and at affordable prices!
I know my husband is incredibly proud to serve the community we both grew up in and to bring something a little different and exciting to Chittenango.
Bear Country Bargains started as a hobby and continues to be something we run alongside our full-time jobs and family. We’ve intentionally kept it family-operated because keeping our costs low helps us keep your prices low.
And that’s really what success looks like to us.
This little store is able to pay its rent and utilities, purchase more inventory, and sustain itself so we can continue having something like this here in our community. We aren’t trying to become a big retail store. We just want to keep the doors open, keep finding great deals, and pass those savings along to you.
So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has stopped in, whether you purchased one item or an arm or two full. Thank you to everyone who has left us a kind review, recommended us to a friend, shared one of our posts, given us feedback, or simply walked through the door to see what we’re all about.
Our hope is that six months from now, a year from now, and hopefully for years to come, we’re still here doing exactly what we set out to do.
