This dreamy blue gown has been sized down through the waist and hip. The embroidered details needed to be unpicked and the slit flounce had to be removed in order to take this dress down a size. Both elements went right back on after that alteration was made. Finally, a hem for the bottom of the skirt and an adjustment to the bottom of the flounce to make it all just the right length.

Strapless dresses are sooooo beautiful. The challenge becomes how to make the dress feel secure on the wearer. I recommend to size down when selecting a strapless gown. This beauty, was taken in from bust to hip, perfect fit. And a simple 1 point bustle for dancing time.

This lovely lavender was completely sized down for the petite beauty that it belonged to. The bodice was taken in horizontally and then it was also shortened to suit the proportions of the wearer. The skirt also needed a trim, though she opted to keep the length in the back. A custom bustle will allow her dance the night away!
