Every struggle we have, every bad moment, every bit of grief we experience—God sees us. He knows the depths of our hearts, and knows our pain. Through our weakness He is strong. He uses our missteps, our past, our testimony, our struggles for His glory.

So no matter what we go through we can rest in Him and His goodness.

I hear it all the time.

Pennsylvania isn’t just cities and suburbs. It’s farms, horse country, rodeos, livestock shows, county fairs, small towns, hard-working families, and a deep agricultural heritage.

The creator of the hat was born in Pennsylvania. We have one of the largest agricultural industries in the country. The is the largest indoor agricultural event in the world. And if you’ve ever driven through this state, you know there are more cows, horses, and tractors than most people realize.

Western culture isn’t limited to a few states out west.
It’s a way of life. And we’ve got plenty of it right here in Pennsylvania.

Today, we remember and reflect on those no longer with us. Those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The men and women who raised their right hand to defend this country and never had the opportunity to leave the uniform.

Lord God, I pray for the families left behind. I pray that you wrap your arms around them, and that they see your love in the way their loved ones are celebrated today. I pray that these families seek and know You with their whole hearts. Psalm 34:18 says you’re close to the brokenhearted, and I pray you remain close to the families, not just today but always, and that they’re reminded through it all that you’re a good and loving Father. In Jesus mighty and matchless name we pray, Amen.
