After ✨a lot✨of internal warring, Honeyb is getting a little smaller. But I think I'm kinda obsessed with it. 🐝
Honeyb launched just before COVID hit, which meant LOTS of time to tinker and experiment, and spend countless hours managing online content. My girls were little and in prime napping territory, plus there were only two of them then👯♀️
Fast forward almost 7 (‼️) years, I now have a trio of babes who are in school, sports, and always on the move. Also in those years, I've rediscovered things I love to do for myself - softball, golf, travel, reading, never ending home projects....
Over the past 7 years, Honeyb has become a lot of things. I've made approximately every leather item I could convince myself needed to exist, worked on new pieces all the time, built a website I rarely remember to update, and accumulated more supplies than I know what to do with 😅
Recently though, I think I've figured out which parts I love and which ones I'm OK leaving behind - so it's time to simplify.
Going forward, Honeyb is going to focus on four things:
✨Fringe - the thing that started it all and will probably always feel the most Honeyb
✨Studs - because who doesn't love a tiny statement piece?
✨The Reading Ritual - books aren't going anywhere. If anything, this little corner of Honeyb will be even better
✨Home fragrance - Yes, you read that right 👀 I'm dabbling in hand blended, curated collections of wax melts inspired by my favorite places, fragrances, and memories. Told you I have no chill 😆
That's pretty much it. Instead of trying to manage an online shop that nobody visits, making things just because I know how to, and trying to keep 18 product categories alive, we're focusing on really good leather, really good books, really good smells, and things I genuinely enjoy creating. Extra time and energy is being diverted back to life 🔆
And who knows, I'm sure we'll still sprinkle some fun extra things in here and there 🩷
You'll be able to find us in person at Shop Small Boutique Mall and on the road at markets throughout the year. Our Grove City location at Butterfly Boutique and our website will be taking a hiatus, but we'll still be hanging out here, sharing new collections, restocks, and where you can find us next.
