FIRST ALERT HEADS UP:
It appears like we'll have some severe weather concerns late this week across the Deep South. This includes the entire state of Alabama. Right now it's too early to get into any specific details.
However, long-range forecast guidance suggests severe thunderstorm potential exists Thursday into Friday in Alabama. Let this serve as a "heads up" to mentally prepare for severe weather later this week.
At this point it looks mostly like a damaging wind and large hail concern. The tornado risk looks rather limited.
