What is the Clothes4Communities Initiative that Deja-Me On Main offers?

Deja-Me On Main, and for years prior to owning the store, has given clothes for FREE to kids & teens of any county and with no income restrictions every year in August at the Clarion Mall. We were known as the Clothes4Kids, then Clothes4Kids/Teens and now Clothes4Communities.

Why did we keep changing the name of our initiative?? Because in the beginning we only gave clothes/shoes/coats to kids in pre-k to 6th grade, then the next year we added teens and younger siblings not in school, and now we help anyone that asks for FREE clothes.

Deja-Me give clothes for FREE to individuals that message or stop in, survivors of domestic abuse, survivors of sexual abuse, recovering alcoholics or drug addicts, individuals that are released from jail or prison, women rejoining the workforce, foster parents/kids and ANYONE that needs help.

Deja-Me gives girls a FREE formal dress for dances (sometimes the girls happen to like a dress that was donated and sometimes they like one being sold by a Consignor, when that happens Deja-Me pays for the dress so the Consignor gets paid and the girl gets the dress of her dreams). We also pay for the girls hair to be professionally done by Designing Minds of Clarion and for their makeup to be done at Rooted Beaty. We not only do this in Clarion County we do this in Venango and Clearfield County too at salons closer to the girls in need.

Last year in August at the Clarion Mall we gave 487 kids from your community FREE 5 outfits and shoes.

Deja-Me On Main and Clothes4Communities is trying to get a program up and running for AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS (not individuals) to use the funds they already have allocated in their budgets for clothing to purchase our Vouchers to be utilized by their clients.

What does that mean if an agency or an organization purchases a voucher?
~~~~ when a voucher is purchased from a agency or organization they are using funds that are already in their budget.
~~~~ if a agency or organization has $100 they are allowed to spend on a client they can go to Walmart and buy maybe 2 or 3 outfits but if they buy a voucher for $50 at Deja-Me Clothes4Communities they are getting 10 articles of clothing for half the price they would have spent at Walmart and they get more clothes and better brands.
~~~~ Agencies and Organizations are actually able to help even more people with clothing because their budget will last longer because they are saving money.
Deja-Me on Main, Deja-Me On Main’s Wedding & Formal Boutique and Clothes4Communities is run by TWO PEOPLE that work either 6 or 7 days a week and do not get paid a cent. We volunteer our time by running the stores, organizing events, and helping anyone that asks for it. We take time away from our own families and do it for free because we, as a family believe in philanthropy, and want to make a positive impact in our communities.
Deja-Me wants our consignors to be successful in selling their items in our stores because that in turn helps us pay the rent, storage of clothes, and other overhead costs for 2 locations but unfortunately we can not control what is bought or not bought by members of our communities. The more people that shop at the store then a better chance a consignor’s clothes will be sold but when 3000 items are brought in a month it all depends on if you have the size, style or brand that is wanted on that particular day.
If you know an organization or an agency feel free to share the info below on how our voucher program works.
⭐️The Clothes4Communities Voucher Program provides dignified, choice-based clothing support for children, youth, and families in need throughout our region. Vouchers may be accessed through referrals from partnering local agencies, schools, and community organizations. Each program can be fully tailored to meet the fiscal budget needs of any agency, allowing organizations to pre-purchase voucher packages that best align with their mission, funding capacity, and service population. Through this flexible model, we work together to ensure families receive high-quality clothing essentials while supporting a sustainable and community-driven resource.
🤔Looking To Join/Partner With Our Initiative? Read below to learn more on how to Request and Participate in the Pre‑Purchased Clothing Voucher Program
Dear Community Organizations,
Deja‑Me on Main launched a pre‑purchased voucher program designed to ensure that individuals and families experiencing hardship have dignified access to clothing while helping sustain the Clothes4Communities program that serves our community.
⭐️About the Voucher Program
Purpose: To provide affordable, dignified shopping opportunities for people facing crises such as recent unemployment, foster care placement, domestic violence, homelessness, fire loss or other emergencies. Vouchers are redeemable at Deja‑Me on Main’s Agency Store for essential clothing items.
⭐️Personalized shopping: Clients will be invited to shop by appointment at our second location or during business hours, at 200 Grand Avenue, Suite 160, Clarion PA 16214, where they will enjoy a one‑on‑one shopping experience and assistance from our team.
⭐️How It Works: Agencies, churches and community partners purchase vouchers (for example, $50 per voucher). Each voucher is redeemable for 5 outfits or 10 individual items. You may distribute these vouchers directly to clients or refer them to us so we can coordinate distribution. Recipients can redeem them for clothing at our store, and we track redemption and provide reports so you can monitor use. Pricing can be tailored to meet program needs. Pricing may be waived on eligible circumstances.
⭐️Guidelines: Vouchers are non‑transferable, expire after 365 days, and can be used only for clothing, shoes and basic accessories—no cash back or resale is permitted. This helps ensure that voucher funds are used responsibly and that the program remains sustainable.
⭐️Why Partner With Us
Meet Critical Needs: Many of your clients may lack access to clean, well‑fitting clothing—especially during periods of transition. Our voucher program offers them choice and dignity in selecting what they need.
⭐️Cost‑Effective Solution: Because vouchers are prepaid, your organization controls spending upfront. This prevents unexpected expenses and ensures that funds are allocated to legitimate needs.
⭐️Support Local Mission: Deja‑Me on Main is committed to serving the community; voucher revenue helps us pay rent and keep our Clothes4Communities program open. Partnering with us means investing in a local resource that benefits the same families you serve.
⭐️Easy Administration: We provide serial‑numbered vouchers, simple tracking, and monthly reports. Agencies can set limits per client (e.g., one voucher every six months) based on your internal policies.
⭐️Request for Participation
We invite your Organization to join our network of participating agencies. As a partner, you would:
⭐️Purchase a block of vouchers in the denomination(s) that suit your budget and client base.
⭐️Distribute the vouchers to clients who meet your eligibility criteria, or provide referrals so we can coordinate distribution.
⭐️Collaborate with us on feedback and improvements to ensure the program meets clients’ needs and aligns with your mission.
😁We are eager to tailor the program to fit your organization’s processes and would love the opportunity to discuss this further. Please feel free to contact Kim at 814-227-9232 or via email at [email protected] . We would be glad to answer any questions you have or schedule a brief meeting at your convenience.
Thank you for considering this partnership. Together we can provide much‑needed clothing assistance to our neighbors while strengthening the network of support in our community. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Brewer 814-227-9232, Program Coordinator
So how does the pricing work at Deja-Me On Main??
Deja-Me on Main is a consignment shop not a thrift store or a boutique. What does that mean?
Deja-Me On Main does not buy clothes outright we consign them. Items are sold in the stores and the Consignor receives 40% of the sold price and the store gets 60% of the sold price.
~ We price everything by looking up the item online and pricing it to match the sold comp prices on places like EBay, Poshmark, Mercai, and Depop.
~~~~~ The prices are higher than a Goodwill, Thrift Store or Yard Sale for the first 30 days because they ARE ONLINE PLATFORM PRICES.

~ From days 31 to 60 the clothes become 50% off that initial online pricing.
~~~~ YAH PRICES ARE GOING DOWN BUT THEY SOMETIMES ARE AND SOMETIMES NOT Goodwill, Thrift Stores, or Yard Sale prices depending on the brands.
~ From days 61 to 90 the clothes become 75% off that initial online pricing.
~~~~ FINALLY THE PRICES ARE AT ROCK BOTTOM PRICES and are usually less but not always depending on the brands than Goodwill, Thrift Stores, or Yard Sales.

~ AFTER 91 days the items are to be donated to our Clothes4Communities Initiative (Individuals get free clothing when in need through agencies, scheduled giveaway events, or by an individuals need basis.)
~~~~~ but sometimes clothes stay in the store longer than 90 days and that is ok…. Just means you have even more time to sell for 75% off the INITIAL ONLINE PRICE.
~~~~~ $25 Fill a Bag is for items that should have been taken to Clothes4Communities but the Consignor is getting even longer to make some money than the initial 90 contract.

Now let’s look at some tags together in the pictures to see how it works.

A Torrid Dress when looked up online selling platforms the price is $32 which is a great price but let’s wait until it is 50% off… it is now $16 a really good price….but wait 61 or more days and it is only $8!!! What?? A Torrid dress for only $8! Come on seriously I know you be selling it on Facebook for more than that! What a great steal for $8 and if it doesn’t sell just remember that someone in your own community that needs clothing will be getting it for FREE!!!

Once you get used to the pricing policy it will be easy to tally up your items for great deals. Maybe you don’t want to wait and miss a chance of getting that full online price item that just came in the store, maybe you can wait it out for over 30 days and grab it at 50% off, or maybe you just want to wait until over 60 days for the rock bottom prices.

That is the beauty of a Consignment Store everyone can afford to shop there and get a wide selection of brands and styles.

🎒✨ Let’s Work Together for Our Kids — Join Our First Back-to-School Collaboration Meeting! ✨🎒

Every year, so many incredible organizations, churches, businesses, schools, HR departments, nonprofits, and community leaders step up to support local families during back-to-school season—and we’re so grateful for each of you. ❤️

At Clothes4Communities / Deja Me on Main, we believe we can make an even bigger impact when we work together.

Too often, multiple organizations unknowingly provide the same resources in the same areas while other important needs go unmet. By collaborating early, we can better coordinate efforts across Clarion County and surrounding communities to ensure more children receive the support they need.

Together, we can:

✅ Prevent duplication of services
✅ Reach more families across more communities
✅ Identify unmet needs
✅ Share donations and resources
✅ Expand access to clothing, shoes, hygiene items, school supplies, backpacks, and more
✅ Create a stronger impact together

Our goal is simple: make sure every child starts the school year feeling prepared and confident.

We’re inviting anyone planning a back-to-school giveaway, donation drive, school supply event, resource fair, or youth support initiative to join us for our first community collaboration meeting:

We’d love to hear what your organization is planning and explore ways we can work together to better serve families throughout Clarion and surrounding areas.

Please share this post and tag organizations that should be part of the conversation!
