One thing we’ve learned through this whole small business journey is that sometimes God places the right people in your life exactly when you need them. ❤️

I introduce to you, Lexis with Jindra WebDev. When Lexis first reached out to make a purchase, she casually asked if we needed help building a website. At the time, I was right in the middle of trying to figure out how to build our online store… so the timing was perfect!

Since then, she’s become so much more than “someone helping with our website.” She’s become a friend and such an important part of our business behind the scenes.

From designing labels, helping finish our website, guiding us with marketing, helping us to understand what customers want to see, our mobile app and online store, and even helping us prepare for Junkstock — she has poured so much into our business. She's one of the main reasons Junkstock was a success for us sisters. ❤️

She has an incredible eye for business, branding, and connecting with customers, but even more than that, she’s genuinely one of the sweetest people you could meet. She even took off of work the first day of Junkstock to come and see us and be the first one to support us.

We’ve referred her to so many small businesses already because when you find someone talented, trustworthy, and passionate about helping small businesses grow, you shout it from the rooftops.

If there’s one thing we stress, it’s try your best to choose a healthier option instead of the convenient option when you can.

Ditch the toxic bug sprays — and honestly, most of them don’t even work.
They leave your skin burning, smell awful, and are packed with ingredients you probably wouldn’t choose to put on your body if you read the label.
Just a few common ingredients found in store-bought bug sprays:
• Propane
• Butane
• Ethanol
• Aminomethyl Propanol
• Sodium Benzoate — commonly used as a preservative in acidic foods, a corrosion inhibitor in engine coolants, and even in fireworks. Yet somehow we’re spraying it directly onto our skin.
Or… you can swap it out for 402’s Bug Repellent Spray 🌿

• Witch hazel
• Distilled water
• Essential oils of cinnamon bark, clove, geranium, peppermint, and lemongrass
Simple ingredients. Natural scent. No harsh chemicals.

On another episode of replacing something toxic in your home- I introduce homemade Dishwashing detergent! 🧼

Here is a simple recipe Rhonda found and we’ve been using it for a couple months now and we love it 🫶 It can be made in just a few minutes with a few simple ingredients!

Best part- it actually WORKS!💛

A tablespoon is all you need. 🍋

Shoutout to C&L Acres for providing beautiful vintage vases and simple flowers to our Junkstock display!

My vision was small, simple, dainty arrangements - and no mason jars because sometimes I feel those are a bit overdone on displays and I wanted to stand out from the crowd.

Not only were her arrangements perfect for our booth, but she also came through for us last weekend in a total pinch and we are so grateful.🫶🌸

Supporting other small businesses and watching them bring their talents together is one of the best parts about these events.

.it.up.strawberries was a STAPLE for a sweet treat these last couple of weekends 🍓

Now that it's Tuesday and we've had some time to recover- us sisters are still soaking it all in from this past two weekends at Junkstock🤍and wanted to tell you all about it!

And all I can say is, WE DID IT! We poured so much time and love into preparing for this event, and seeing our booth full both weekends was TOTALLY WORTH IT!

But to be honest, the best part wasn't the sales - it was the people. The customers, the conversations, the fellow vendors and our booth neighbors, (HrtlndDesigns - Dan, who kept us hydrated and fed and Mikes All Purpose Seasonings for the laughs) and the atmosphere… it all felt so welcoming and special.

By the end of the weekend we were completely exhausted and missing our families, but neither of us wanted it to end. Our hearts were smiling!

And we definitely couldn’t have done it alone. Huge shoutout to our HUSBANDS, family, and kids for jumping in wherever needed — from hauling trailers and campers, fixing generator issues, keeping our booth stocked, running food, and helping us survive the long days. It became a family effort, and we’re so grateful the support behind the scenes 🤍

Here's a few pics I had taken over the weekend when I had time! Hopefully we will be seeing you all next Spring at Junkstock!

Throughout the week, I will be giving a few shoutouts to the food trucks and coffee we had the pleasure of trying! Sooooo good!
