🚨 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 🚨
I will no longer be posting identifiable images of children on my photography page, signed release or not.
The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that privately possessing AI-generated CSAM depicting “virtual” children can be constitutionally protected.
That was enough for me.
As a photographer and a mother, I cannot ignore how quickly AI is advancing or the frightening ways innocent photographs can potentially be manipulated. I feel an even greater responsibility to do everything within my power to protect the children who are placed in front of my camera.
When you book a session with me, you are trusting me with your babies. Their little faces, their memories, their childhoods. That is a responsibility I will never take lightly.
Once I put an identifiable photograph of your child on the internet, I cannot control who saves it, where it goes, or what someone may attempt to do with it afterward.
So I’m choosing not to take that chance.
Will this affect my business or the way I market my work?
Maybe.
And I am completely okay with that.
No amount of likes, shares, bookings, or business growth will ever be worth compromising the safety or privacy of a child.
I will still find ways to share the beautiful work we create together while protecting the identities of my youngest clients. But moving forward, their safety comes first. Always.
Your children are not content. They are little people who deserve to be protected, and their safety will always come before my business.
