🍁Fall is on its way! 🍁

Our Daily Living and Social Community classes came together for a fun fall activity. Making puff paint pumpkins! 🧡

Activities like this are about more than just making something cute. They give our clients opportunities to practice important skills such as fine motor coordination, hand strength, following directions, making choices, creativity, and attention to a task. They also encourage social interaction, communication, cooperation, and working alongside others while having a little fun!

We love finding creative ways to turn everyday activities into opportunities for learning, connection, and independence. 🍁🧡

💙MORE THAN AN ACTIVITY💙

This week, we’re stepping inside Art Class to see what they’re working on—and why it matters!

✨A little glitter + a little creativity = the cutest magnets! ✨

Our artists had fun making their own glitter magnets using clear gems, Mod Podge, glitter, and magnets!

But this craft was about more than just making something sparkly! 💛 While creating, our clients practiced fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, grasp and control, following directions, attention to task, and making creative choices. Scooping, sprinkling, brushing, and placing each little piece takes patience and precision!

And of course… a little glitter makes everything more fun! ✨

We love finding creative ways to turn everyday crafts into opportunities for learning, independence, and self-expression.

From **shredding documents for our community at just $0.49 per pound**, to working alongside local businesses, to sorting, cleaning, and preparing donations for our **upscale resale shop** — every task has a purpose. Every job is an opportunity. Every accomplishment matters. 🙌

These work experiences teach so much more than job skills. They build **confidence, responsibility, work ethic, communication, independence, and a sense of pride in a job well done.**

✨ Sewing, Skills & Creativity! ✨

Our clients have the opportunity to participate in sewing class, where they can learn new skills while creating some pretty adorable things like Angie’s cute bag!

Sewing is so much more than a creative activity. It’s a wonderful way to work on fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, patience, following directions, problem-solving, and independence. It also gives our clients the chance to make something they can be proud of and say, “I made that!” 🥰

We love seeing creativity, confidence, and new skills come together—one stitch at a time!
