Ashley has a way of putting things together that feels completely natural. There’s always something unexpected in the mix, but somehow it never feels like she’s trying too hard. She just knows what she likes and makes it her own.

When we started thinking about Ashley’s piece(s), that sense of ease was the starting point. We wanted something that felt lived-in, useful, a little unexpected, and completely at home in her wardrobe.

Kelly has a way of making getting dressed look easy. She mixes textures, layers pieces and finds just the right balance between comfortable and deliberate. Nothing feels overly styled, it just feels like Kelly.

For her WORN BY piece(s), we leaned into that same sense of ease, playing with familiar textures and unexpected details to create something that feels unique, lived-in and entirely her own.

Wilson has a way of making things that don’t immediately belong together feel like they were always meant to. There’s a ruggedness to his style, but it’s balanced by bold color, pattern and details that give everything a little more character.

For Wilson’s WORN BY piece(s), we played with that contrast. Like taking a classic blazer and giving it a completely different story through denim, tapestry and unexpected floral details. Floral details have an extra meaning here too; Wilson is a floral designer and owner of Indigo Florals

Jenny gets dressed with zero hesitation. She’s drawn to denim, color, texture, pattern and details that might make someone else pause; but on her, they just make sense. Her style really does feel like an extension of her personality: expressive and playful.

For Jenny’s WORN BY piece(s), we leaned into that same fearless approach; combining denim, texture and pattern to create something with plenty of personality.

WORN BY: A Study In Personal Style

A project about the people who naturally inspire us through the way they dress, layer, wear and make clothing their own.

For us, personal style has never been about following a formula. It’s about the little things that make someone unmistakably themselves. The pieces they reach for and the way they mix them.

So we looked to the people around us.

If you’ve been around The Tapestry Spool, you may recognize some of these faces. They’re customers, friends, fellow creatives, collaborators and people who have continued to show up for us.
