As a small business owner who is recently new to owning a storefront, I’m here to tell you that every year comes with its own lessons. Recently I’ve been encountering a number of people who have been frequenting my Ohio City location and stirring up conversations over a period of weeks to build relationships with me. These are the SAME people who have stole from me! They feel that because you’re nice and friendly, and in my case… also a minority, that it’s easier and less risky to steal from a small business like mine. I’m even thinking about going as far as keep pepper spray at the cash wrap because people are CRAZY and there’s no telling what their motives are!
Learn from me! It’s better to be safe than sorry. 🙏🏾
