Rust Belt Flannels

Rust Belt Flannels Upcycled & Shibori Dyed Flannels, Cottons & Denims We believe it is ingrained in the people of the Rust Belt to press sharply on against life’s challenges.

Rust Belt Flannels offer artist painted ombre-, dip-, acid, and natural- dyed flannels, plaids, cottons, denims, boho, and vintage apparel, accessories, and home goods. A unique combination of traditional Japanese Shibori-, tie-, resist-, and reverse- hand dying techniques create our signature “burn” look. All collections offered are in small batches to maintain quality and are created in our Clev

eland, Ohio headquarters – the rock & roll capital of the world! We feel this strength running through our veins. See it in the veins of our neighbors. And hear it in the voices of many generations. Patsy Coffey Kline started Rust Belt Flannels out of the need to feel well and courage to overcome trauma. We all have unseen value. We hope you feel yours when wearing our hand curated apparel! Rock Life Well!

& after the storms pass there’s days like this …
The waters of Lake Erie carry a quiet, heavy grace. Like the Rust Belt shores it touches, it reminds us that we can hold the weight of what we’ve lost, wash clean the rust of yesterday, and still find a beautiful, steady rhythm to move forward.

No crown No praise No finish line
Just grit and truth in every line
So, if you ask, what keeps me true,
It’s the storm I took and the work, I do,
No heaven promise, no debt I owe, just Me
and the wind, on the no easy road

Built for hard winters and harder times.
Rust Belt roots teach us how to endure, adapt, and hold tight to what matters.
When the world feels heavy and the windchill hits -20, we adapt. We survive. We stay rooted.
And when the wind cuts deep, we wrap up in flannel and each other.

No turning back.

Cold season.
Snow on concrete.

Frayed at the edges.
Layered for survival.
Denim carrying years.

We wear where we’re from.
The winters.
The losses.
The things that tried to break us.

Putting it on changes something.
Back straightens.
Steps hit heavier.
You remember who you are
and what you came through.

These clothes don’t apologize.
Neither do we.

Rust Belt Flannels.
Up-cycled from what endured.

Wear it well. 💕

Window shopping dreams.
Friday night. Flannel weather.
Staying bold, staying resilient—finding the gradient between tough and tender, wearing it well, even when it’s cold outside. That’s the Rust Belt way.

Shattered dreams.
Stolen pieces.

Rust Belt miles taught me this:
I’m not broken — I’m forged.
Bold. Gritty. Resilient.

Wear it well.

Friday night reminds us that time is the one thing we never truly get back. After the week’s noise fades, what matters most is being right there with the one you love—close enough to feel their breath, steady enough to hold them tight. In that space, worries soften, hearts slow down, and the world feels smaller and kinder. It’s not about plans or perfection; it’s about presence. A shared moment, a warm embrace, and the simple truth that love, when held close, makes even an ordinary chilly Friday night unforgettable.
