The way this page works is very simple..
I come pick up your items, take the pictures of them & list them to be sold. Then you just wait and let people buy your items.

Ideally I'd like to open my own resale boutique. But right now I don't have the money so I'm starting online and when I know for sure the business will run well I will open a physical shop.

FAQs
So it's basically like an online consignment shop?
Yes or resale, whatever you want to call it. However, I don't keep 70% of the money earned from your items like most places. I'd keep 30-40% and you'd get the majority back. I've never understood why resale stores give back such a little amount of money. That's what has stopped me from taking any of my son's stuff he's no longer using to any stores like that in the past.
How would you keep my stuff separated from everyone else's?
Every person will have their own number written down in my sales book along with their name, what they brought, the prices for their items, any contact info, etc. I would keep everything in my house neatly in totes. Your tote(s) will be labeled with your number and all your items will have stickers on them with your specific number written on them so your stuff will stay organized and together.
How do I know you won't steal my stuff?
You will have my name, my phone number, my address if you drop off & my license plate number if you'd like as comfort that if anything were to ever happen you have everything you need to get me in legal trouble. I have a baby and I've struggled. I would never scam anyone. I've been there and it's definitely not anything to risk losing my child or money over.
Why did you start this page?
To help other moms, dads, and anyone else caring for a child to sell their stuff. I know how time consuming it is to list it on endless Facebook groups and craigslist and eBay and everywhere else. It would be so much simpler to just have someone pick it up and do the work for you that actually enjoys doing it.
Is it just for Macomb County?
It's more convenient for macomb county residents and myself for them to pick up or meet, but if someone further away was interested in buying enough I'd be willing to meet. Or if you cannot meet or don't want to meet but want the stuff dropped off you can pay a small fee for the gas to get your items to you.
Will you ship or just meet?
After I get enough business I will start shipping things out so no traveling has to be done. When this happens people from all over the US will be able to order stuff from the page online.
How do I get my money from my items sold on your site?
I will update you the entire way by either Facebook, email or text, whichever you choose. If someone is buying your item(s) I will let you know. When payment is received I will let you know and I will physically show you the money was received and then I will take it out and either mail it to you or you can pick it up or meet me for it. so can have it in whatever form you like as well. Cash is easiest but money order, check, etc., I can do as well. Eventually, once I get the system down I will be doing it all electronically. But for now I will be using PayPal for them to purchase the items. You will always know what's going on when it's happening. I put myself in the sellers shoes when I think about this stuff. I will be selling my own stuff on here as well.
How long will the items be up?
I will start out for 30 days and if they haven't been sold by then I will ask if you'd like me to keep them up or if you'd like them back or if you'd like me to donate them. Any items donated with always go to different shelters or programs.
How does pricing work?
Before you send me pictures of what you have for me to pick up you can tell me what you have that you're looking to sell and I will give you the price range in which I think you can list the item for. So say you're selling a changing pad that retails for $25 and it's been used for a couple months but it's in perfect condition I'd give you the range of $10-$20 and you could say you want to sell it for $15. If at any point you want to raise or lower the price of an item all you have to do is let me know. If you're not happy with the price range and don't want to see an item on the page that's fine. That's why I have you message me first so you can see if you'd rather sell on your own.
Will you only accept certain seasons?
I will accept all seasons at all times. Tons of people buy their children's stuff ahead of time so there's no reason not to have all seasons.
What brand will you accept?
Every brand as long as condition is great.
What condition of clothes will you take?
Don't try to sell something to someone you wouldn't put on your own child. That's what I've come up with. As long as there's no rips or snaps missing I will take them. If the clothes have formula or baby food stains on them I may be able to get them out even if they're bad because I've gotten a ton out of my sons clothes with a stain removing concoction I made. Stains from anything else other than formula or baby food I cannot help so those will not be accepted. If you send formula stained clothes and I cannot get the stains out completely you can either pick them back up I can donate them or I can throw the it out.
What condition of the other items accepted will you take?
Again, don't try to sell someone something you wouldn't use for you own children. As long as nothing is wrong with it I will list it.
What will the posts of my items say?
What the item is, how much it costs, the condition (which will never be less than great), size if applicable, color if applicable, and anything else needed.
How will you organize posts?
I actually wanted to take a poll and ask people whether they wanted items sorted by sections or by the seller. So, for example, all nursing covers would be in one post or every nursing cover would be in a separate post in whoever's listing they belong to. I personally think it would be a better idea to have them sorted by item so it would be easier to look through and find what you want, but I want to know what the majority of you guys think.
What if I want my items back?
They are your items you can come get them whenever you want. Obviously within reason like not at 3 AM, but just let me know at least an hour before you would plan on coming so I can gather it for you to pick up.
When you become a nation wide page will the buyers pay for shipping?
Yes buyers will pay for shipping, but it's not that much unless you're buying a ton of stuff which it would be the same as buying that much from any store online.
Will you ever have discounts or coupons or anything like that?
Yes, I will have days with half off shipping, some free shipping, special deals on holidays and stuff like that.
What if I just have a ton of stuff I can't get rid of and don't think it will sell and want to donate it, but don't know where to donate to? (Or if I'm too lazy to take it somewhere)
If you have stuff you want donated I can always come pick it up and take it for you. Shelters and charities can always use all the clothing and other items they can get.
Will you have any special events?
I do plan on having a few special events once the page takes off. But I'm not saying what they are because they're surprises and I'm really hoping I can make them happen because it will be amazing.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will add any frequent questions to this post.
I'm also looking for two other people to join me in running this. I will especially need the help if & when this page grows. I'm looking for two women who want to help other people just like I do. You have to be outgoing, personable, caring and trustworthy. I will run background checks on you if I find I like you and may potentially want your help. I'm doing this to help people and I will not risk hiring someone that doesn't have this page's and the seller's and buyer's best interests in mind.
