It’s almost September, already!!! Where does the time go? A week and a half ago I was in NH and driving down the Kancamangus Highway. The leaves have started changing up north and I got inspired for all things fall, warm and cozy. We also visited the Christmas Loft in North Conway, so you know that pushed my creative brain into fast forward mode. My thoughts are all over the place, but keep checking in to see what I can come up with. So much to make, so little time…

What feeds your soul?
Most recently, for me it’s slowing down and noticing how beautiful nature can be; the colors, textures, and uniqueness of each living thing. All of these can really get those creative ideas flowing! It amazes me how observing nature and its wonder can bring inspiration into our lives in so many ways. There is no greater artist than Mother Nature!

This is my improvisation of a quilting design wall. Very simple to make one with some flannel, duct tape and a piece of cardboard! This helps by allowing you to lay out pieces of fabric to see how it looks before you commit to sewing them together. The flannel just holds on to those pieces!!! I found this idea on YouTube.

I love Autumn the best, the crisp clear days, the cool nights, and all the beautiful colors as the trees get ready to rest and restore during the winter months. I think this table runner captured the beauty of Fall. What is your favorite season?
