During Harvey, my good friend Roger Mann (RIP) reached out to his friends in Nashville for help. The music industry showed up with 2 48' trailers filled with supplies. Let's pay our gifts forward if we can coordinate locally. We would want to send help to a local church. Global Ministries comes to mind, but we need to see where the help is most needed.

I have a non-profit if that is going to be an issue and have been a minister for 25 years now. God has always told me not to use the tax advantage but to render unto Caesar what is his. That is a story to share at another time and we will do whatever needs to be done to help make this work.

We would need:
Volunteer coordinators both private and public to assist.
Media outlets to let people know what is being done.
Volunteer driver/truck/trailer(s).
Fuel for the truck(s).
Supplies per some of the lists I have been seeing.
Volunteers to load the truck.

Is this too much for us to accomplish? These folks are going to need help for weeks, maybe months with basic supplies. Rebuilding is a whole different thing and will start once people can start to return home and will require a certain skill set from volunteers.

We know about the devastation and how it feels not knowing where your next meal is coming from or how you will clothe your children. We know about flooded cars, lost jobs, and no home to muck out and start over.

GIFT NEEDS for Citizens of Plum Grove and surrounding area.
Plum Grove needs help! Emergency resources have been primarily taken by Colony Ridge residents. The people who are truly in need cannot get to the distribution location in Santa Fe. Many homes are still under water or are in the process of cleaning up. Emergency aid has been directed to Santa Fe and told there was nowhere in Plum Grove for them to set up to help.
YOU can make a difference in someone's life by gifting items in need.
Citizens of Plum Grove, those living north of Plum Grove on/off FM1010, and persons living near the river in Splendora will be served first, please bring proof of residence and your ID.
We are working with one of the local churches that reached out to us. We are accepting donations at the Plum Grove Assembly of God church at
on Thursday, May 9, 2023 from noon until 7 pm. The drop off will be at the gymnasium.
Saturday, May 11th from 9 am to 5 pm will be distribution day. If you are unable to travel to the church, please reach out to us at 281-306-3344 and leave a message.
Clothes need to be clean and sorted by size. Other items should be boxed. This will ease the distribution process.
Here is the list of immediate needs:
*VOLUNTEERS AND PRAYER WARRIORS TO HELP DISTRIBUTE ITEMS

KITCHEN
*DISPOSABLE plates, bowls, utensils, and cups
*Paper towels
*Sterno and/or charcoal
*Cases of water
*First aid supplies or kits
*Trash bags (contractor size preferred)
*NON-PERISHABLE FOOD like canned meals, meats, snacks, crackers
*Can openers (this is really important)
*Powdered milk and drink mixes
*Sports drinks to rehydrate
*Cases or gallon jugs of water
*Pots and pans
*Coolers (must be clean)
*Water purifier packs

BATHROOM
*Toiletries: bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deoderant
*Hair brushes and/or combs
*Towels, washrags

BABIES AND CHILDREN
*Baby formula, cereal, food
*Diapers and wipes
*Clothes, shoes, and socks
*Toys, colors, coloring books, reading books
*Children's clothing, school uniforms, shoes
*Backpacks, school supplies

CLEANING AND SANITATION
*Hand sanitizer
*Mosquito repellent or wipes
*Flashlights
*Batteries (all sizes)
*Gas cans (must be empty and clean)
