Environmental organization the Natural Fibers Alliance (NFA) has hit back at fashion designers calling for a ban on real fur in the UK, saying their “short-sighted” views could force businesses to turn to environmentally harmful synthetic materials.

Mike Brown, head of sustainability and communications at the NFA, said: “Designers should know freedom of expression, freedom of choice, and sustainability are vital in fashion.”
