My latest Whimzies' Boutique creation - An adorable little Spring-time dress made to fit size 2T/3T; perfect for Easter! Crocheted tank dress base (by local crochet crafter KC of Hookin' it) is 100% acrylic yarn and very soft. Flower buttons nape to hem of the dress' back for ease of dressing! Pretty shimmer pink tulle with a light blend of glitter peach for just a touch of sparkle, colorful floral bodice and satin bow decorated with a glitter speckled butterfly. Created in a smoke-free, pet-friendly environment. $35

New Dress Design - Sample...

Multiple customers had commented that the original design of dress was a bit challenging to get on; needing to be stepped into or pulled over the head. Other comments were that some of the children felt the material was scratchy even when lined. This new design addresses these issues using a super soft, baby yarn as a crocheted dress base with the design built onto the base itself. The back of the dress is button up from nape of neck to hem so the child can simply hold out their arms in front of them, dress can be slipped on and buttoned up the back; super easy! Can be worn with or without a camisole or t-shirt underneath.

Special thanks to Kc Hammer for being a crochet wizard, bringing my wish list dress-base to life exactly as I envisioned it! While I loveee making the dresses - I don't have a whole lot of free time for the crochet part and this allows me the fun of taking a quality canvas and completing the dream, buttons to bows.

'Le Papillon - The Butterfly', is a size 4T and is a unique blend of a faux 3/4 burlap bodice over a lined, stretchy top and a soft blend of peach and aquamarine, shimmer (no glitter) tulle for the dress skirt. Trimmed with a shabby chic style aquamarine rosette design, pinky-peach organza ribbon with peach rose flower add-ons, fabric lace tie straps & waistband and lace, pearl heart accents - it is a feminine and dainty look perfect for portraits, special occasions and possibly even as a flower girl dress.

Determination won out in the end... Finished my dress order on time - yay me! Wasn't sure if I could make it happen mostly one handed, but I managed, just slowly...This one is headed to Arizona for a sweet little girl to wear in a parade

While I await the delivery of the Princess Elena fabric for a dress order, decided to finally delve into creating another dress that has been floating around in my imagination since last Summer. The bodice will be made from this cool burlap fabric (lined stretchy top underneath of course, so it won't be scratchy)...Colors of peach and aqua, aqua flower trim, lacy ribbon for that feminine frill and dainty pearl colored heart buttons - Shabby Chic style, this one will be a totally different look - curious to know how it will turn out
