We've spent the weekend emptying the ol' family place so we can tear into the floor & start a major foundation repair project 😫
Silver lining - these beautiful 1940s hardwood floors are peeking out at me under carpet & 2 layers of linoleum 🥰
Can't wait to see what they really look like!

I didn't even appreciate how sweet the pattern is on this Fire King casserole until I was about to list it for sale. I adore this little espalier fruit tree & it's colors! I've decided we should stay together 🥰
I bought about 30 pieces of Pyrex, Corelle, Fire King & McKee at a killer 50% off sale in Canyon, TX a few weeks back. I was grabbing stuff so fast I didn't pay much attention to what I got. I'm finally going through it today to clean up, photograph & list...and this little bowl whispered 'keep me' 🤣
I haven't found the name of the pattern yet but I'm sure I'll be able to find it when I have a little time to put into that research.

Our new little flock is loving their expanded space! When their area is complete they'll have a summer run & a winter run 🥰 And I'll have more vertical space for planting 🥰🥰

We stopped over last night at our family place for one night on our way to explore the coast for a few days. Early mornings here have always been magical. So much life echoes all around as I walk the property barefoot feeling the Louisiana dew on my toes 🥰
I don't know what the future holds for this place but I have little visions now & then of recreating the orchard my great grandfather established 80 years ago and of a place that future generations will continue to feel magic when they visit.

Some of my favorite childhood memories involve shelling peas. My mini me loves it just as much! She wanted to give you a quick how-to for shelling purple hull peas...the best of the southern peas, if you ask me!

2. Think...I've been wanting to learn to macrame
3. Put macrame cord in Amazon cart for later...maybe
4. Receive text from daughter with link to book she needs for school
5. Notice that checkout price is a bit high for a paperback
6. Remember macrame cord
7. Think about all unfinished projects
8. Checkout
9. Watch all the macrame videos while waiting for Prime truck
