Today, as I was working, I glanced out the window and caught a glimpse of these flags coming up the road. My eyes filled with tears once I realized what was happening.

They were marching in the rain… but I couldn’t help but think — they’ve faced so much more than rain in their lifetime.

As they passed, I noticed photos of soldiers displayed on their backpacks. Each one representing a story, a sacrifice, a hero who gave everything. It was deeply moving. I didn’t see any sign of media presence at the time so I jumped in the car and found a spot to capture this because I didn’t want it to go unnoticed. Then I seen Charles so he joined me and covered as well. So glad the moment was captured for others to see. ❤️

On this Memorial Day, we remember those who are no longer with us — the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Their legacy lives on… in the steps of those who honor them, in the flags that wave, and in the hearts of those who will never forget. 🇺🇸

National EMS Week 2026 🚑💙 🚒
This week, we want to recognize the incredible men and women in EMS who serve our communities with strength, skill, and compassion.

For me, it’s also personal—our son is an EMT/Firefighter right here in our county, and watching him serve has given me an even deeper appreciation for what EMS professionals do every single day.
