Hard to believe this used to be a doctor’s office…

Right now it’s a total blank slate, but that’s the fun part. The goal here is to keep things open, bright, and actually enjoyable to be in. We’re working with the natural light, bringing in glass, keeping the ceilings feeling higher than they are, and just being intentional with every detail.

It’s one of those projects where the little decisions are going to make a big difference. Can’t wait to show how this one comes together.

Some spaces deserve to evolve without losing the story that made people love them in the first place.

Working on the historic Cog Railway was all about balance, preserving the charm and history people remember while refreshing the space for today’s visitors. We kept as many original elements as possible and used historic artwork throughout the space to help tell the railway’s story visually.

Projects like this remind us that thoughtful design doesn’t erase history.
It helps people experience it more fully.

Healthcare spaces don’t have to feel cold or clinical.

Peak Concierge Care wanted their space to reflect the level of care and excellence they provide every patient, calm, elevated, welcoming, and intentional. We transformed a sterile spec suite into a warm, spa-like environment designed to immediately put patients at ease.

Even better?
The practice exceeded its new patient growth goals faster than expected.

That’s the power of a space that truly reflects your brand and values.

Sometimes it’s not about a full overhaul, it’s about intention in the details.

In this older hotel, the floors felt tired and overlooked. But through simple, thoughtful updates, fresh carpet, new paint, and subtle detailing around the door frames, we were able to completely shift the feeling of the space.

What once felt drab and disconnected now feels warm, refined, and considered.

Proof that small changes, done right, can make a space feel entirely new.

A lot of business owners wait until after they sign a lease to think about branding, customer flow, or how the space will actually function day-to-day.

We believe those conversations should happen much earlier.

The right commercial space should support the experience you’re trying to create, not fight against it.

That’s why we put together this guide for Colorado business owners navigating growth, expansion, or a new location. It’s filled with practical things we’ve learned through years of designing hospitality, medical, office, and retail environments that actually work for the people inside them.

If you’re planning a new space, a second location, or even just starting to explore options, this is a great place to start.

The modern workplace has changed and office design has to change with it.

For the Colson Center, we transformed a traditional cubicle-heavy office into a more flexible, collaborative environment with adaptable meeting spaces, upgraded shared areas, and layouts designed around real human interaction.

One of our favorite features is the portable wall system that allows the team to easily reshape the space depending on what the day requires.

Because the best offices aren’t static.
They evolve with the people using them.

Before, the space felt disconnected, dated, underutilized, and without a clear identity.

Built in the 90s and left without a cohesive brand story, it had all the pieces… just none of the intention.

The goal wasn’t just to renovate, it was to reframe how the space feels.

To create warmth. To create flow. To create a clear, consistent narrative that reflects the brand at every touchpoint.

Because design isn’t just what you see, it’s what you feel the moment you walk in.

And that’s what changed everything.

Design has a huge impact on how people feel, especially children.

Straka Pediatric Therapies needed a space that felt bright, welcoming, and supportive for both families and staff. We took a dark, disconnected office and transformed it into a playful, cohesive environment that truly reflected the heart of the practice.

One of our favorite parts of this project?
Seeing how thoughtful design helped increase the value of the business while improving the day-to-day experience for everyone inside it.

One of the biggest mistakes we see business owners make is choosing a commercial space based only on square footage or price.

The reality is, your space affects everything. Customer experience. Staff workflow. Branding. First impressions. Even whether people come back.

A beautiful business starts long before furniture and finishes. It starts with asking the right questions before you sign the lease.

We put together this carousel to highlight a few things we believe every business owner should consider before choosing a commercial space, especially here in Colorado where growth is happening fast.

Good design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about building a space that helps your business grow.

A space is always speaking.

The question is, what is it saying about your brand?

For Outrider, every detail was intentional. Materials, layout, flow, all designed to reflect who they are, even when no one’s there to explain it.

Because the right space doesn’t just look good.
It tells your story for you.
