I am from a small Texas town I grew up most of my life in a little town called Blue Ridge, TX (which is outside of Mckinney/DFW area)
When I was a junior in high school, my father who was Active duty for the Texas Army National Gaurd was relocated back to our home town area of Snyder, TX. He got stationed in Abilene, TX. (Which to me is my hometown)
We moved to a very small town by the name of
Tye,TX, but finished our school years in another small town named Merkel, TX! I have always had a love for crafting a sewing, since I was young. So to help pay my way through college I decided to start a small side business making jewelry, and selling it to local friends and at events. It was a lot of fun, but I sadly ended up not having the time to continue with the amount of college hours I was taking (28 hrs a semester plus clincals) I was bound a determined to fast track my college degree in Medical Assisting/Nursing) therefore I had to give up my passion. After I graduated college I became a triage nurse for an OBGYN where I worked there for a little over 6 years. I LOVED MY JOB, and would still craft for friends and gifts. I slowly turned more into sewing custom items (ie: appliqued shirts/pants, quilts, stuff like that) versus doing jewelry. Then I met the love my life. Who has now been serving the USAF for 18 years now!!! Shortly after getting married, we got the surprise of our life! We were expecting a beautiful baby girl! During my pregnancy I was obsessed with making ALL of her nursery items myself. We unfortunately were PCS'd to NORAD aka Cheyenne Mountain AFB (an airforce base that's literally inside of a mountain. How cool is that?) However, it was in Colorado Springs, Colorado! Therefore, I had to give up my dream job. I had never lived more than 10 minutes from my family and now I had a baby on the way. I was moving 100s of miles away to state I knew nothing about and didn't know a single person. Once Adalyn arrived we were over the moon. My husband and I made the decision that I would be a stay at home mom. When Adalyn was 2 months old it was time for us to make the life altering move! At first I was nervous, stressed, and every other emotion you can think of. I was in a new state, with a new baby, and knew noone. So thats when I created Adalyn's Crafty Momma. I started off super small with me sewing my own childrens clothes. To help feel the void of my old life, family, and friends. And to give me something to do. It was fun. I enjoyed it. I still enjoy sewing. However, as she got older I found it harder to find the time it took to do it. So I took a much needed break. And found a new obsession COUPONING!!! So for her toddler years I would still take custom orders, but mainly focused on couponing. When she got old enough I got back in to sewing. Then about 6 years ago I got back into crafting. Making wreaths and home decor. Shortly after i went into vinyl work!! I fell absolutely in love with it. The items I could make and still do are endless. I do a variety of things. I personalize stuff, make custom shirts, cups, egg cartons, cake holders, canvases, wood signs you name it. Now here recently I have slowly started growing my products. I got into sublimation! So now I can pretty much make and do anything I want. From cups, to shirts, door mats, the list goes on. I love love taking and making custom requests! I do a lot of my own graphic designs. So I can make/ put just about anything your heart desires on anything! It is a true passion of mine, and brings my tons of joy to have happy customers! I am a small business, its just me! It is called Adalyn's Crafty Momma
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me!
