“Today is 8 years since I was hit by the car in New Orleans. I will always, always miss Frank. But I thought that was the end of my life. I was so wrong, it was just the beginning. I appreciate life more now than ever before and I feel that the best is yet to come. In all the pain and darkness I was growing!”

This is exactly what the world needs to be encouraged to do. Tell our story of struggles and adversities because you never know who’s listening and how you may positively effect someone going through hard times themselves. Less than a week ago we heard tell a very similar story in the middle of a stand up comedy show. Both and , thank you for continuing to inspire the mission that we are on, the world is so much better because we have you two in it!

To whoever needs to hear this:
If you’re grieving a loved one, understand that person is always with you. In the way you treat others, in the way you carry their spirit with you.

In doing this, you keep their spirit alive. They are so proud of you.

Contrast is everything. Without dark, there is no light. Without the yin, there is no yang. The anti-hero clearly defines the hero. If you want to experience the greatest pleasure, you must be prepared to experience the greatest pain.

“Grow in the Dark is our belief that endurance during dark times is the proof of ones acceptance of the unpredictable misfortunes of life. The CHOICE to GROW in darkness instead of wilt becomes the key driving force behind the courage that propels and individual to exhibit strength in the face of adversity.”
The words may seem simple, but the act may not be. Go through what you go through.

Rest In Peace Brian Quinones, Thank you for serving our country beside a good friend of ours.
We wish this a post we didn’t have to put up but it’s important that we do. There is no off switch to unsee the things our militarily, first responders and medical workers see. They don’t just see, they feel, and they place those burdens on their shoulders so they don’t have to sit on ours. We beg you to talk about those things that eat away at you because you aren’t alone even when you feel like it, we promise that. There’s great people in the community that will drop whatever they are doing to assure that you have an understanding ear. Please reach out to someone if you feel like that darkness of life is consuming you, because there is absolutely a way to get that darkness to drive you forward instead.
Brian, we hope you and your family find peace and we know that your fight is not over because we have people like who never stop being vocal about his brothers and sisters and their mental health after traumatic events. Thank you all for your service over seas and here at home, please reach out to us if we can tell your story to help others know they aren’t alone.

⚠️ Update⚠️ We are about a month away from having a website with our Product, community outreach links, and a platform where people who inspire talk about their adversities and moving forward. We want to hear and share your stories so please reach out.

In the mean time, we want to share with you some of the people who we personally look up to and draw inspiration from. First up was a no brainer, meet Dillon, , I’ve followed him for years and been inspired by the person he is and vision he has for making this world a better place. Go check out his page and scroll back to watch his journey of purchasing a run down building on his own dime and turning it into a place of mental and physical guidance for the youth that surrounds him, it’s truly a beautiful thing what he has done and will continue to do. Thank you Dillon, from Grow in the Dark, you embody everything we strive to be!

“I’ve finally found my home and where my heart belongs. In my facility working with kids. Sometimes shirtless listening to gangster rap, working out with them, having deep talks with them, having funny talks with them , helping some of them deal with past trauma, and the list goes on. This is where my heart is; I’m home.” - Dillon -

In 2016 I lost my sister who was 27. As a result of being driven by my families misfortunes I gained 40 lbs of muscle working my depression off in the gym. I felt great and did my best to move forward knowing some days will be better than others but atleast I know I’ve grown as a person.
2020 hit, and before I knew what covid was I resigned from my job that I was commuting to over 2 hours each way so that I could take the time to find work closer to home. A week into not having insurance for the first time in my life I fell and broke my shoulder and then as a result of that in the following months I lost all that muscle that took years to build. Then in the early fall my father passed away. 2020 brought that darkness back into my life that and didn’t loosen its grip. But 2020 also brought some incredible people into my life who have also went through adversities of their own, and those people have woken up that drive in me to move forward with my blessing and move as many people forward with me as I can. Grow in the Dark is now my priority moving forward, so thank you for your support and look out for new product and stories as we navigate a way to touch the life’s of anyone who is struggling to find their way through life’s adversities.
