Detail from “the Peanut Farmer” 2011 , a 20 metre tall peanut plant with human sized peanuts. To understand the process, I did some field work- went out to a peanut field and pulled up peanut plants to study the crop. Farmers left offerings on my boom truck- peanut plants on the bucket. I did peanut portraits from life based on these offerings. Colquitt, Georgia

I’m so excited to see it, not just for the growth a new restaurant will bring to Colquitt, but because this building has been empty since before I moved to Colquitt (so, a while!). New construction is great, but revitalization of our Square is even better!
Anyone have a story about this building and businesses that have been there before?

The first Saturday of every month is Saturday! We've got so many great merchants and restaurants as members of the Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce, and we're proud to have them. Which ones will you be visiting this weekend when you come to see Swamp Gravy and why is the answer ALL OF THEM?
