Each hat is one-of-a-kind, lovingly handcrafted with upcycled burlap coffee sacks on one side ☕️♻️ and soft, comfy cotton on the other 🌿🧵 — making them as versatile as they are eco-friendly.

Let me tell you… this launch was not without its quirks! 😅 I had to up my photography game, break out the paint, brushes, and even nail files 🎨🖌️💅 to get everything just right. But you know what? The bumps along the way only made the celebration sweeter. 🙌

🇺🇸✨ Happy 4th of July, friends! ✨🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the incredible freedom we have as Americans: a gift that has been bravely fought for by generations of service members. I’m deeply thankful for all who have served and are currently serving our country with courage and honor. 🫡❤️🤍💙

In the spirit of freedom and hard work, I’m also celebrating a small but meaningful victory in my sewing studio: I finished altering a pair of Harley Davidson leather chaps from a size LARGE to a size ZERO! 🧵💪🏍️

The leather had been stretched by the previous owner, so getting the fit just right was a challenge. But challenge accepted and conquered! 🙌 The customer is thrilled, and so am I. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and serve my community in creative and practical ways.

Here’s to the red, white, and blue; and the freedom to live, learn, and lend a hand. 🇺🇸🎆🎇

🎩🧵 Today’s crafting curveball: one of my display heads is just a bit too big for the job… so I’m giving it a gentle makeover! 😄

To better model my baby/toddler bucket hats 👶💗, I’m reshaping a 20-inch foam head down to 18.5 inches—just the right size to display what a hat looks like on those precious little noggins! 🎨✨

And there's more: all of my display heads have recently received a thoughtful glow-up! I've lovingly painted them in a realistic, multicultural skin tone as a way to honor the beauty of diversity and to help you better imagine how each handmade hat might look on its future wearer. 🧡🤎🤍🖤

I'll be updating the photos of all currently listed hats very soon 📸✨ - AND adding around 20 new hats to the shop! 🎉👒

🎉 Exciting news from the sewing table! 🎉

I’ve just been commissioned to repair two pairs of high-quality men’s cargo pants 👖👖 — and I couldn’t be more thrilled! ✨

Repairs like this are a double win:
✅ They save the customer from the high cost of replacing quality garments
🌎 And they keep excellent fabric out of the landfill, giving it a second life!

It brings me so much joy to help people hold onto the things they love, while honoring sustainability and craftsmanship. 🧵💚

I'm feeling so thankful for the beautiful variety of fabrics I get to work with at HumblyAndKindlyMade.com ! 🧵💛 From burlap coffee bags ☕, jersey knit dresses 👗, to leather chaps 🤠—I never know what will come across my sewing table next, and I truly love the challenge.

Every alteration, every upcycled project is a chance to learn something new, to help someone keep what they love, and to give materials a second life. 🌿♻️
