CORN DOGS ARE BACK đŸ”„

Saturday, September 12th from 11am-5pm, we will be graced with the presence of Carl’s Corn Dogs. Houseplants & outside stuff will be 20% off!

Doodled this with crayons to prove that, once again, you do not need to use AI for an event flyer (or anything, for that matter). Yes, I forgot to write the time or address, no, I didn’t add them back in (we are a physical shop with the same address and our hours are always the same and posted in 5+ different places). Yes, I remembered that I wanted to add mustard after the fact, no, you cannot see it despite my best efforts.

See ya September 12th from 11am-5pm for corn dogs!!

I thought this film (that I finally had processed this month) was from last year—turns out some of it was from 2024 when a drunk driver crashed through 60’ of our fence ✹ memories!

An obligatory if there’s something you see that you want, it’s probably not here anymore since these are from 2024. Time is an illusion!

Four years!! Four years of getting to know some damn fine folks, four years of rooting around barns/garages/basements/attics, four years of the best little shop we could ever ask for.

So we’re celebrating this upcoming weekend (the shop’s actual anniversary is August 5, but we want folks to be able to stop by)! Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9, everything outside will be 20% off, and we’ll be raffling off four $25 gift cards! For every $10 spent, you’ll get a raffle ticket!

Friday, August 7: 10am-5pm with brĆȘ
Saturday, August 8: 11am-5pm
Sunday, August 9: 11am-5pm

Poster design by yours truly, swipe to see what I used to make it! (hands, brain, 16 years of photoshop experience to still end up using it for text because sometimes that’s easiest)

And a look back at our first day open—we thought the shop was packed to the gills. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the last four years, love y’all!! ♄

It’s been a minute since we’ve had a good brass haul—since May of last year! This is a selection of what we’ve found recently (not pictured are some brass lamps, candle sconces, candle holders, chambersticks, and a couple other odds & ends). All priced, inventoried, and heading to the shop! ✹

THE STREAK CONTINUES đŸ”„

After our solidly second place sweep for Best of Columbia Falls to Essex, we managed to snag second place for Best Antiques in Best of Flathead!! Our little shop setup over the river and through the woods managed to land a spot for best in the VALLEY. The whole kit & caboodle!

Thank you to all of our shop friends for making this such a fun business to run—we love y’all so much ♄

Our four year anniversary event (poster to come eventually lol) will be August 7–9 (Friday-Sunday)—stay tuned for updates and a really great poster!

I’ve heard that eclectic isn’t a style (per a VERY intense vintage Facebook group years ago that I was only briefly part of), and I would like to claim otherwise. In my personal style, nothing matches (I do not believe my 5th great-grandfather ever imagined that his handmade desk would live in the same room as a chartreuse 1940s velvet sofa), and I love it.

In a world of matching living room sets I LOVE seeing higgledy-piggledy design, something where every piece has a story of how you found it/who made it/what it means to you. Like a museum but you get to touch everything and there’s no particle board.

Anyway, if you’re out & about and you see something that speaks to you, don’t worry about it “matching” anything. What you curate tells a story, therefore everything inherently goes together. I own a Big Mouth Billy Bass, so clearly I am an authority on the matter 🎣

We’ve restocked your favorite stickers from The Wild Wander Co. and brought a couple new ones in (along with a restock on some pins & letterpress prints)! I’ve been so excited about these two—everything Clara designs is so fun and whimsical and we’re very fortunate to be unofficial sister stores đŸ„â€đŸŸ«

For those out of the loop, The Wild Wander was around first! We named our shop Wild Wanderer in 2022, and as I was looking at prints and stickers to carry, I found Clara’s shop and reached to say that we had no intention of having almost the same name (but that I also wanted to carry her art in the shop lol), but she’s been so kind from the get-go. So if you’re looking for any beautifully designed & curated outdoorsy goods I highly recommend following her work! Especially if you, too, enjoy lil critters đŸżïž

We talk about analog a lot in the shop since we have a regular rotation of records, books, and cameras, so I figured I’d make a post about it!

I’ve loved analog for a long time (the magic of being handed a disposable film camera as a kid!), but it’s really become something bigger in the last few years. Being in fields that are heavily impacted by AI (photography, design, media management, art, writing—just about everything I do. Also being a human who enjoys nature and wild spaces) has made me retaliate against the machine by embracing as much analog as I possibly can. I refuse to be optimized and will, instead, take every opportunity to go the slow route.

So here are some of my regular analog practices! I do also keep a stack of CDs in my car, and I still have the mixes I burned in college. We also recently acquired a VHS set of Lonesome Dove (hell yeah).

In a time when everything is designed for instant gratification and “less” effort at the user-end, I will stubbornly go slow and be happy to be left behind đŸȘŽ

Our bright & cheery Pyrex shelves! đŸŠ‹đŸŒżđŸŒŒ

I myself am a Butterfly Gold / Spring Green / Horizon Blue gal, but we always keep an eye out for any Pyrex that’s in good shape. We almost always sell pieces individually (I think we’ve only had two complete sets of bowls that sold as a unit, one with the original box!), so if you want to mix & match or if you’re only looking for one bowl, we’ve got ya covered.

We do sometimes pick up Fire King or Glasbake dishes if they’ve got a fun pattern! And we usually have a regular rotation of vintage plates & fiestaware in stock. We’re firm believers in an eclectic kitchen with mix & match dishes (also have you ever organized fiestaware in rainbow order? it’s delightful as heck)
