Moonwater Design loves moody spaces and we turned our clients' old dining room area into a moody library space for relaxing. This area is at the end of the new dining room (former formal living room) and we're loving the built-in bookcases and swanky, custom walnut panels transitioning the step up into the library. Who doesn't love enjoying a meal in a beautiful dining room? Our clients' former living room was formal and unused by the family. What to do?? Make it into a warm, inviting dining space to host their large gatherings. A few eclectic additions paired with their cottage aesthetic keeps the room young and fresh. It's always so rewarding to create new spaces that fit our clients' needs. Their family room is a well-used space right off the kitchen and breakfast area/home school center. We think the small details make all the difference from the "before" to the "after".

What a fun project for this young family that needed their breakfast area to accommodate their growning family of four small kiddos, but also to continue to be their daily homeschool space. The new, built-in banquette is low maintenance and roomy. A deep ledge along the back, a new bookcase and fabric-covered magnetic bulletin boards showcase supplies and artwork.
