I used the Dyson Supersonic on my friend Amanda's hair, which is curly 3B hair, and my own 2C hair. We used only the diffuser on her hair, but I used all of the attachment settings for myself, except the wide-tooth comb, as that isn't designed for my hair type. I only remembered to take photos after using the diffuser and concentrated styler attachments, so please forgive me there. Using both attachment tools left my hair looking and feeling excellent.

The hair dryer has a V9 motor (which is stronger than my current Dyson vacuum) that spins up to 110,000 rpm, propelling 13 liters of air up to the amplifier every second. It's designed with intelligent heat control, too, to measure airflow temperature to prevent extreme heat damage.

For a lot of hair it takes ages to dry unless you have strong air flow or use high heat. Holding a lighter hairdryer with a better mid range heat is better for the health of my hair and arms. Also, the head on the Dyson is shorter, so between the attachments and dryer itself, it's shorter and doesn't involve contortions to use.

Whenever I put on a spring dress, I feel a little out of character because my day-to-day style is pretty casual. That being said, dresses are a one-and-done outfit, and I’m all about ease when it comes to dressing.

Before I spill the details of my honest Dyson Hair Dryer review, it should be established that I have naturally fine, frizz-prone, wavy hair—and a lot of it. My Dyson was gifted to me by my husband, who purchased it from Amazon along with a storage case. They are carried by Nordstrom, Sephora, Sax Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Ulta. I have yet to see it sold in hair salons, but salons in your area may carry them.

A beauty tool is a pretty penny, and that’s part of the reason I waited so long to hop on the Dyson Hair Dryer train. My current dryer was working just fine, but when my hair stylist whipped out the professional version at an appointment, I was intrigued.
