Everyone got a hand embroidered scene for Christmas this year! Harper loved chest snuggles, but holding her for an hour while working is difficult. So I whipped up a doggy wrap over the weekend and now I can wear her and keep both hands free! As you can tell, she loves it. 🐶🖤

I finally finished and photographed my first hand-knit sweater! It didn’t get done in time for Halloween, but my puppy thinking my wooden needles were a toy stick put me back a ways (don’t worry, I caught her fairly quickly but did need to buy new ones). This free pattern from Joann’s was fun, easy, and super cute!

You like my outfit? I made it! AND it has pockets! This is the first non-costume outfit I’ve made…maybe ever, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I finished it just in time to celebrate my grandparents’ 65th wedding anniversary last weekend, so of course I had to wear it.

I have several other patterns from that I can’t wait to get started on. Sure, maybe buying clothes is “easier”, but there’s something special about being able to wear something you made yourself!

Amazingly, this quilt represents over half my life! High school, college, fandoms, concerts, jobs - it’s got it all. This is the 4th tshirt quilt that I’ve made for myself - of the 5 I have (my granny made my first one) - and I love giving these shirts a new life and getting a fun and useful way to keep the memories with me.

After years of hoarding, I finally made my sweatshirt quilt! While it has all of my universities on it, it does not have any high school sweatshirts on there. They didn’t survive one of the purges of my parents’ house in the intervening 15 years. (And yes, some sweatpants made it on too.)

It’s a little heavy for summer, but I can’t wait to pull this blanket out once fall/winter rolls around. These sweatshirts kept me warm while studying for years; now they can continue to keep me warm while I read for fun!
