💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Great Granny Gallop Family🧡
To our residents, volunteers, sponsors, community partners, runners, walkers, vendors, and friends of The Mill District:
It is with heavy hearts that we share that the 2nd Annual Great Granny Gallop 5K, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, has been canceled due to anticipated inclement weather.
This was not an easy decision. We have closely monitored the forecast and consulted with our race partners, and recent significant changes in the weather have led us to make this decision earlier than originally planned.
While we were so looking forward to gathering together for a morning filled with fitness, fellowship, family, and community, the safety and well-being of our residents, participants, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and friends will always come first.
We know how much time, energy, excitement, and preparation goes into an event like this. That is why we wanted to provide as much notice as possible so that everyone has adequate time to adjust their plans and make the necessary arrangements.
🧡Our Mission Continues Beyond the Finish Line
Although we won't be crossing the finish line together this year, the mission behind the Great Granny Gallop continues.💙
This event was created to bring our community together while generating meaningful support for community partners and educational initiatives that positively impact children and families throughout Columbus.
For those who have already registered, we humbly ask that you consider allowing your registration fee to remain as a charitable contribution toward these important community initiatives.
Your generosity will help us continue investing in programs and organizations that create opportunities and strengthen our children, families, and neighborhoods. Every contribution makes a difference.
We also completely understand and respect that some participants may prefer a refund. We are working with our race registration partner and will share additional information regarding the refund request process as soon as it is available.

While we are disappointed that we cannot celebrate with you this Saturday, we are already looking ahead with hope and excitement.

The race may be canceled, but our commitment to our community is not.
