Sole Classics has always been a cultural epicenter for Central Ohio. Over the span of nearly 20 years we have grown with the community around us, learning, evolving, and creating memorable moments with you, our extended family.
This Saturday, June 6th we reset the clock and take us back to the early 2000’s. For those of you who don’t know, Gallery Hop is one day each month where the art galleries in the Short North would stay open late and have events. Sole Classics followed suit and began staying open late in hopes that the increased traffic would trickle down to our business as well. In 2008, one of our favorite musical groups, Fly.Union came up with the idea to host local performances in boutiques across the state, with Sole Classics being a focal point. That spawned the in-store Gallery Hop performances.
In 2010, under new ownership, Galley Hop in-store performances would become the standard, and a platform for dozens of local acts over the next 4 years. If you been to any of them, and remember the packed out performances, let us know in the comments.
We are back in that one bag. See yall on Saturday for some new and some familiar faces in an intimate setting. These micro-performances will feature live instruments, and highlight an era that so many of us grew up on, and who knows.. maybe we keep it going.
