Happy Flag Day!

Even parasailers have flags to wave. We try to wave ours every day as we continue to make our clothes in the USA. Each garment has a "made in the USA" label stitched in after it's carefully sewn by talented sewers in small batches, in a clean, open environment. That's important to us because we believe our sewers deserve to get paid a fair and livable wage. We also want to support local talent and help keep our economy strong.

Cheers to the flag that was first handsewn by Betsy Ross in 1776, 250 years ago!

One of Tillage Summer staples is back in action this Saturday, and we don't want you to miss out! will be bumping at Summit Park in Blue Ash from 10am-4pm. I'll be there with the coziest options for Father's Day gifts, along with a special story that goes with them.

So plan your Saturday around the OFF Market. Bring your men to let them pick their size and favorite color, or surprise them! Either way, get your iced-coffee, wear your walking shoes, and come check out over 100 local vendors. Too many sips and shops to name, but leave a comment if you'll be there!

Tillage Talk Tuesday.
Our mission of fighting human trafficking stems from a heart to set captives free. That comes in a variety of forms, but it took on new meaning when I watched a film in my mid-twenties that showed vivid footage of young girls in India being trafficked repeatedly all day long. It was dark, scary, and it broke my heart.

I knew something had to be done but didn't know how I could make a difference. I prayed, gave to a non-profit, and went down the road of pursuing grad school to become a case worker. Still, none of that satisfied the impact I hoped to someday have.

Now, with Tillage Clothing, I believe I've found/created the rich soil I've been looking for. This small business is the platform to help break the chains of human trafficking by having a multiplication effect with every single person who shops Tillage giving back to this cause.

Thank you so much to each of you who has already made an impact. I can't wait to see how the story continues to unfold.

See this beautiful lady on the right? She's my incredible mom, and it's her 79th birthday today!

One of my favorite things about her is the way she tried to find common ground with everyone she met. She worked in the women's non-profit space for most of my childhood, helping a variety of people who felt lost and misunderstood. She was the link to their "hand up," yet she wasn't one to act superior to them. She wanted to get to know them and treated them like human beings. Despite their differences, she was able to see and share a similarity. She was the real deal. And her legacy reminds me to try to do the same.

Does anyone else enjoy work-from-home life?

It's a joy for me to get to work on a business that I love in a cozy environment in the most comfortable clothes. This Honeywheat tank top and cozy camper pant set is not only loungy for working in, it was also great for the flight and running through the airport on my most recent trip. The design of the swoop back tank top is elevated enough that I don't have to worry about swapping it out for Zoom calls. And it's airy enough that I feel cool in it whether I'm out in the heat or indoors in the a/c.

They’re such beautiful, majestic creatures with such empathy toward humans. The relationship they have with their trainers and riders is so special.

Tillage Talk Tuesday.

Using the slow fashion model as opposed to fast fashion, we aren’t in the business of “hurry up, and sell everything!” Only to mark down our garments significantly to create the trendiest little thing to last only one more season, and then more of the same.

Instead, at Tillage Clothing, we strive to keep making what you love even better! We use the highest quality fabrics, sewing techniques, and are willing to spend a few extra bucks in the pattern making process to continue to fine tune each design to ensure that you, our customers, are overwhelmingly pleased with your purchases!
