One year.
Yesterday, we celebrated one year of Seasons, and honestly, I’m still struggling to find the right words, but I will try to fumble through them.
In my heart, I know there will never be a way to fully express the gratitude we feel for this past year. We have quite literally now walked through all the “seasons” that a year can bring, and somehow each one carried something beautiful with it.
It has been, without a doubt, the fastest year of my life. Running two full-time businesses has been no joke. There have been long days, difficult decisions, moments of uncertainty, countless prayers, and plenty of lessons learned along the way. But there have also been so many rewards.
The greatest reward has been all of YOU.
What Seasons has given us is something we never knew was missing—a community, a purpose, and relationships that have changed our lives forever.
Something many people don't know is that Seasons was not always going to be called Seasons. Long before we opened our doors, I was sitting at my kitchen table dreaming, planning, praying, and tossing around ideas. There were several names being considered, but one day, in one of the clearest moments I have ever experienced, I heard God audibly whisper the word "Seasons."
I immediately opened my Bible app to Ecclesiastes 3, and tears began to flow.
"To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven."
I was coming out of one of the most difficult seasons I had ever experienced in business and in that moment, I knew.
The name was perfect. It was ordained. It held so much meaning for where God had brought me from and where He was leading me next. When I thought about all the seasons of life He had faithfully carried me through, there was suddenly no other name and no other direction we could follow.
Then came the work.
The planning. The building. The decisions. The team. The support system. More prayers. More faith. More moments of doubt, if I'm being honest.
But somewhere along the way came all of YOU.
The customers who became friends. The people who have walked through our doors since day one and continue to walk through them today. The conversations across the counter. The stories. The hugs. The laughter. The encouragement.
I know I've said it before, but I truly don't think you realize how much you have carried us this year.
There have been days when things felt heavy, and somehow God always seemed to send exactly who we needed through our doors. Your kindness, your support, your loyalty, your smiles, your prayers, and your presence have meant more than we could ever adequately express.
As we celebrated yesterday and looked around at a store full of smiling faces, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. Seeing so many people come out to celebrate with us was the greatest gift we could have received.
We are proud of what Seasons has become, but not because of sales, numbers, or accomplishments.
We are proud because we know, with all our hearts, that God is working through this little storefront.
Not because we are so worthy or capable, but because God has always been in the business of taking small things and doing mighty things through them.
Things that reach far beyond these four walls.
Things that touch lives we may never fully know about.
Things that point back to Him.
So thank you to every customer who has shopped with us, shared our posts, trusted us with your special moments, encouraged us, prayed for us, and supported this dream. Whether you've been with us since day one or just recently found us, you are part of this story.
Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you for carrying us.
Thank you for helping make Seasons what it is today.
Most of all, thank You, Lord, for every season you faithfully carry us through! We are so grateful to be entrusted with this dream and even more grateful that He brought each of you into the story.
