🌿 Gratituesday 🌿

Today I’m feeling especially grateful for personal accountability.

Life is not always fair.
People disappoint us.
Hard things happen.
We all go through seasons that test us emotionally, mentally, financially, and spiritually.

But I am grateful that somewhere along the way, I learned that while I cannot control everything that happens TO me… I can control how I respond to it.

I can choose growth over blame.
Perspective over bitterness.
Responsibility over excuses.
Healing over staying stuck.

That does not mean we ignore pain or pretend struggles do not exist. It simply means we do not unpack and live there forever.

There is something incredibly empowering about realizing that your life can begin changing the moment you stop waiting for someone else to fix it.

None of us are perfect.
We all have moments.
We all fall.
But taking ownership of our mindset, our choices, our energy, and our future is where true freedom begins.

And honestly… that mindset brings so much more peace.

This too shall pass.
And so will we.
So let’s grow through it, not stay stuck in it. 💛

Sometimes even the happiest, most grateful people have moments where they feel lonely, emotional, not enough, overwhelmed, or unsure of themselves.

And you know what?

That’s OK.

Being human means feeling all of it, not just the good parts.

The goal is not to avoid difficult feelings or pretend they do not exist. The goal is to stop believing those moments define you. Feel it. Sit with it. Rest if you need to. Cry if you need to. Wrap yourself in a blanket, call a friend, watch a favorite movie, take a walk, cook something comforting, or yes… eat the Ben & Jerry’s. 🍦

Sometimes healing is not found in “fixing” yourself.
Sometimes it is simply found in loving yourself through the moment.

“This too shall pass.”

It always does.

🌿 Gratituesday 🌿

Today, I am deeply grateful for my resilience.

Have you ever been hit by life so hard that it completely knocks you off your feet?

That doesn’t happen to me very often, but over the past month or so, I found myself in exactly that place. I was honestly surprised by how long it took me to get back up and return to my normal routines and the things that bring me joy.

But one thing I’ve learned over the years is that every challenge carries a lesson, if we are willing to look for it.

As I’ve “matured” (and yes, that makes me laugh too 😄), I’ve come to believe more strongly than ever that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is obvious, and sometimes it only becomes clear much later. But I trust that even our hardest seasons are shaping us, strengthening us, and preparing us for something we will need in the future.

That belief gives me peace. It gives me faith. And it reminds me that setbacks are not the end of the story. (Setbacks are set-ups)

Today, I am grateful to say that I am back on my feet.

A little wiser.
A little more aware.
And more committed than ever to following my passions, pursuing what lights me up, and loving on the people who matter most.

If you are in a difficult season right now, keep going. Rest when you need to. Trust the process. Your resilience is stronger than you know.

What challenge has made you stronger?

Our minds are so powerful! There's a scientific truth that what we think about expands. Have you ever noticed that when you think about getting a new car and you've picked one out, even the color of that car, that ALL OF A SUDDEN you see it everywhere.

What are you thinking about today? Is it adding joy to your life or causing pain and misery?

Many philosophers teach that the things that happen in our lives are not always the things that cause us emotional pain but the stories we tell ourselves about those events and our perceptions of them.

When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.
