Congrats to all the NFC racers and organizers on a glorious return of this epic event!

We’re so proud of every IR athlete who stepped up to compete. An extra special congrats to Tad Dennis for laying down a flawless run and being crowned the new King!!! Shout outs to Nouria Newman Maddie Kimmel Isaac S Hull Jude Franczyk Jeremy Nash Bernie Engelman Wyatt Doyle top finishes and to Cole Moore and Evan Garcia for rounding out the Jake’s final for Team IR. The next level paddling on display through the world’s hardest race course showed that the bar has been raised yet again.

Thanks North Fork Championship for bringing this event back. We’re stoked for the next one!

Presented by , Fountain of Youth Film Night brings together a stacked lineup of kayaking films celebrating adventure, progression, and the idea that kayakers never really grow up. Get a FIRST ever screening of and friends new movie ‘Fountain of Youth’.

“Nestled in the heart of Jackson County, NC, The West Fork of the Tuckasegee if an often overlooked and under appreciated section of river that is loved by local paddlers and hikers.

Only 7.5 miles away from Western Carolina University, this section kicks off with one of the most scenic out-ins of the south east featuring High Falls, an unrunnable, double drop totaling an estimated 130 feet(?). The water comes directly out of the Thorpe Dam at Lake Glenville, and reaches the falls within minutes after the scheduled release starts. After the .75 mile long hike-in, descending 600 feet from the lake level, tourists crowd the put-in rapid early in the morning to catch this unique visual of watching the bubble of water come down. Down stream, 3 miles of technical, low volume, class four rapids await featuring unique slides, rock formations, and a fun gorge.

We are lucky to have this in our backyard with seven recreational release per year!”
