With a heavy heart, I must share that it's time we close our doors.
I love what we've built together - a place where we could finally find plus size-clothes and have fun doing it. I've met so many great people I would have never known otherwise, and I'll cherish the memories we've shared for the rest of my life.
However, it's been no secret that we've been struggling financially and otherwise for the past couple of years. The financial burden is just too much for me to keep fighting, so I've decided to close the shop.
I know many of you have waited a long time on me for things like payments, getting clothing processed, or answering emails. I recognize that I could have been more transparent about our financial situation, but keeping this store going was so important to me that I was perhaps blinded by hope that I could fix things and turn the situation around. I apologize to everybody that feels Iโve let them down. This was never my intention.
With that being said, I do intend to make sure that I get right with everybody to the best of my ability. I'll be able to help with some things, like returning everybodyโs belongings, over the next couple of weeks. Other things, such as catching up on the payments I owe, are going to take me longer.
The next section of this post will cover the plan for wrapping things up, and the section at the end has my thank you and a note about what's next.

For those who have items out on the floor or recent drop offs that I have not processed, if you would like to look through the racks to find your items and check them out, the shop will be open for this during the following days and times:
โช Tuesday, April 14th from 2 PM to 7 PM
โช Wednesday, April 15th from 11 AM to 4 PM
โช Thursday, April 16th from 2 PM to 6 PM
โช Saturday, April 18th from 1 PM to 5 PM
If you're not able to come during these times or to physically pull the items on your own, don't worry. After others have checked their items out, I'll be sure to sort the rest and contact you about a time for pick up.
Please note that these days and times are for pick up of items only. As much as I wish that I could do payouts, I have completely exhausted my ability to do so for the time being. Please see the section below regarding payouts.

There's a group of people that dropped off items during 2023 that were never processed. These items will be prepared for pick up during the second phase of pick ups. I'll be contacting everybody by email that's a part of this group as I get those items prepared for pick up.
If you're a part of this group, there's nothing I can do to prepare these items during the first phase as I'll be focused on closing down the shop. I wish I could get them to you at the same time as the first set, but it's not possible for me.
However, please be assured that I'm committed to getting those items back to you and will work with everybody affected on an individual basis to schedule a pick up time that works for you.
This phase will be taking place April 20-May 2, so please keep an eye on your emails during those times if you're a part of this group.

This is a tough one because thereโs very little I can do right now to help in this category. To be completely transparent, I do not have any way that I can make payments on consignor balances at this time. I'm so sorry for the trouble this will cause because I know many of you depend on these payments. I regret leaving people in a position like this, especially on short notice.
However, I'm committed to getting these balances paid, even though it's going to take time. Starting in mid-May, after I've returned everybody's belongings, I'll be working to reestablish my personal income. Therefore, I commit to resuming making consignment payments starting the first week of June.
When I resume making payments in June, my plan is to pay off the smallest balances first and move toward the larger balances as quickly as I can. I don't know what my income will look like in the immediate term as I return to my previous line of employment. To be honest, it's going to take me a long time to get everybody paid.
I know this phase might be a cause for concern for many following what happened with other shops in the past that never paid out. I want to provide as much reassurance as I can that it's important to me that I will get right with everybody, so here's the plan:
During the week of May 4-9, I'll be assessing the payouts I owe everybody. Since I plan to pay everybody in order of smallest to largest payouts, I'll be able to provide all consignors with a number to let them know what place in line they hold. During this time, I'll also add a public page on our website so that everybody will be able to follow along with the progress in getting through this queue.
To provide further reassurance, I also plan to address a long-standing issue: Not being able to contact me. When we enter phase three, I'm committed to staying in touch by both email and Facebook messenger. From May 11-31, I'll be working to catch up first on all recent emails, and then staying in touch by email through the rest of the process until Iโve caught up with everybody. This is an area in which Iโve struggled, so I wanted to provide reassurance that there will be a way to reach me.

If you cannot pick up during phase one or are unable to gather the items yourself due to work or other factors, we'll contact you by email regarding picking up during phase two. โช May 4-9: I'll be assigning everybody a number in the queue for payouts and updating the website with a public page to track progress.
โช May 11-31: Catch up on emails so I can maintain long-term contact with everybody.

I want everybody to know how much it has meant to me that you gave me the opportunity to do this. The team and I were able to be a part of many happy moments and make a difference in many people's lives. From outfits for job interviews to a cute outfit that made somebody feel beautiful on a first date, we really were able to make a difference. For a few short years, we as a community got to fight back against the struggles of access to plus size clothing, and I couldnโt be more appreciative that I was a part of that.
Although it saddens me to close our doors, the joy of getting to share those special moments with this community overshadows the sadness I feel in letting go. I appreciate each and every one of you that's shopped and consigned here.
With that being said, I will still want there to be a resource for plus size clothing in our community. We have just over 6,000 friends here following this page now, so let's put it to use!
Moving forward, we want to share posts from other people and businesses in and around Cookeville where plus size clothing can still be found. To anybody that ever makes a post where they are selling their plus size clothing - send us a message. We'll share it and promote it here.
If you're out and about and spot a local business that has a good selection of plus size clothing, take a picture and send it to us along with the business name so we can feature them here. If you have other ideas about how we can be a resource, let us know. Just because the store is closing doesnโt mean that we have to give up the dream of increasing the accessibility of plus size clothing in our area.
If you have any happy memories you want to share with us in the comments, it would mean the world to me. I would also appreciate it if you would let your friends or anybody else you know that shops or consigns here about the post so that we can reach everybody in time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much!
