another make it monday - this one is special 🪡🫶🏼
this video doesn’t show all the steps of this project. truthfully, I had just started sewing a month prior to doing these quilts. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing - I didn’t even know what a bobbin was but was determined in making quilts for Christmas.
I completed 2 rag quilts in December for my mom and sister in less than two months. lots of late nights, sewing before work, and considering throwing my sewing machine in the yard but the reaction made it all worth it.
looking back now, I wished I had started this hobby sooner. my great grandmother was a master quilter. she gave quilts, many that I used on cold nights as a kid. it was a full circle moment making these quilts. we both had the same goal - provide warmth and love through a quilt to those we love most. 🪡🫶🏼💙
