For those of you who have been here with us for a while, you know a couple years ago we got the news no family ever wants to hear stage 4 cancer.

One of the very first thoughts we had was, “Oh my gosh… what if he doesn’t get to see Skylar graduate?”

Yesterday, he sat there and watched her walk across that stage.

And in that moment, all I could think was… we made it.

There were days filled with fear, exhaustion, anger, tears, and uncertainty. But there were also prayers, strength, hope, and a refusal to quit.

So if you’re in the middle of a battle right now, don’t stop fighting. Don’t give up. Keep going.

Some moments are worth every single hard day it takes to get there.

And lastly… f**k cancer.
