I think a lot of us assume that once we get saved, everything is supposed to become easy.

And honestly, I used to think that too.

But salvation isn’t the end of the transformation. It’s the beginning of one.

The closer I get to God, the more I’m realizing He doesn’t just reveal what I need Him to fix around me. Sometimes He reveals what’s happening inside of me.

I’ve been dealing with repairs around my house for the last few days—leaks, AC issues, things I had to figure out, things I couldn’t fix myself, and things where I eventually had to ask for help.

And I started thinking about how much that looks like our walk with God.

Sometimes you don’t need more.

Sometimes something needs to be cleaned out.

Sometimes something needs to be repaired.

Sometimes you need to let something go.

And sometimes you need to humble yourself and let somebody help you.

That’s why I’m learning to pray:

“God, expose the leaks.”

Expose the places in me that need work.
Expose my impatience.
Expose my pride.
Expose the things I’m holding onto.
Show me what’s mine to repair and give me the humility to ask for help where I can’t.

That’s a dangerous prayer because God may actually answer it.

But I’m learning that’s what growth looks like.

Not perfection.

Transformation.

“…the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter…” — Proverbs 4:18

I’m still learning. I’m still being cleaned up. I’m still being transformed.

And thankfully, I don’t have to do it alone.

Everything God called you to do will be resisted.

If there’s no resistance, you might be going with the flow, not with God.

I’ve been sitting with this:
A great door opened for me this week, but many adversaries with it — 1 Cor 16:9

Unless the Lord builds it, we labor in vain — Ps 127:1

Resist the enemy and he will flee — James 4:7

The enemy will let you stay comfortable and call it wisdom.

Obedience will feel like resistance at first.

Keep pulling. Keep pushing.

The resistance is proof you’re going the right direction.

FAITH. INTEGRITY. TRANSFORMATION.

For example, I could be teaching my kids about pride — pride comes before a fall — but I’m learning I have to check my own life first.

Where does pride show up in me?

I tell my daughter don’t be anxious.

But I’ll be honest, there are seasons I’m anxious myself.

I don’t panic like I used to, but I get overwhelmed.

Different level of maturity, same muscle — I gotta constantly renew my mind, renew my heart, renew my spirit.

I’ll be honest, I’m learning I gotta clean the drain before I can retain.

I gotta keep my mind on obedience, not just outcome.
Constantly in a posture of learning.

Constantly growing.

Before I share it with anyone else — before I teach my kids — I have to live it.

And sometimes as I’m teaching them, I’m learning myself.

I’m learning to trust God when pressure is real.

I’m learning to pray instead of panic.

I’m learning to serve while I’m still waiting on my own breakthrough.

I’m learning transformation isn’t just what happens to my body.

It’s what happens to my response.

Still becoming.

FAITH. INTEGRITY. TRANSFORMATION.

What are you retaining this week before you drain it? Today was full…

Early talk with my brother about faith — “I can see victory on the other side for you, why can’t you?”

That’s faith — substance of things hoped for, evidence not seen. Heb 11:1

Then saw fruit from a brother I prayed with in the gym last December.

He went from a “Slow season” to HARVEST season.
No credit to me, all God.
Look what God did.

Later gave my brother a handshake leaving the gym — he thought his assignment was one group, God highlighted someone else. Young brother, loves Jesus.
That handshake became impartation.

Elijah → Elisha moment.

Publix run — older man buying a carton of 305 cigs, tells young cashier “stay far away from that stuff.”

First thought: do as I say not as I do.

Then I had a heart check: pray FOR people, not ABOUT them.

So I prayed.

Where Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Cor 3:17

Washing my dishes in our house, saw Chipotle BOGO text— thought of my daughter, sent to family chat.

Wanted to post about the revelation instantly on TikTok, but heard: “Retain it before you drain it. Live it before you leak it.”

That’s the thread this week.

Performance is still necessary — it’s just the byproduct of private discipline + obedience over time.

1 Sam 15:22 | 1 Cor 9:27 | James 1:22

Faith • Integrity • Transformation

I’m not teaching this because I mastered it.

I’m sharing because I’m still learning it.

What are you retaining this week before you drain it?

I’m learning something about sobriety that I never realized until now.

There’s something powerful about discipline that’s worth taking a look into.

I’m 38 today and I’m feeling younger and stronger than when I first started -Joshua 14:11 — As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me.

April: ∼186 lbs • Softer, Bloated

Aug 15 Birthday: 172.5 lbs • 13.5% BF • Lean, Defined

38 years old | 28 metabolic age | Lean Mass 142.9 → 144.8 lbs

Not my glory.

God’s grace + discipline.

I saw a brother at the gym today.

48 years old. Looks 39.

Asked him: “You feel stronger now than in your 20s?” Him: “Absolutely.”

He said: Know when to move. How to move. Learn from past injuries. Build up.

Just because you CAN doesn’t mean you SHOULD.

That’s the law.

Take care of your body, your mind — you don’t feel old.

You feel resilient.

This isn’t vanity.

This is to inspire.

So I’m asking my gym, fit, faith + fitness dudes — who else feels stronger TODAY than when you first started?

Not just physically.
Mentally.
Spiritually.
Drop your age IF you feel comfortable ..+ how long you’ve been consistent below.

Let’s encourage the next dude who thinks it’s too late.

My Father has this.
Still learning. GOD & GAINS.

I’m realizing I don’t always have the right answers as a father, as a son, as a husband.

But I know where to go when I don’t.

This isn’t religious performance.

This is just what I do when I don’t know what to do.

Sometimes prayer gives you an answer.

Sometimes it gives you peace.

Sometimes it tells you to wait.

Sometimes it gives you the next step, not the whole staircase.

Sometimes you walk away still saying, “God, I don’t understand this — but I trust You.”

Not “I’ve got this.”

But “My Father has this.”

Prayed up series has me right.

Your voice is a key.

Prayers in motion produce results. — James 5:16
Aug 14 — 38 tomorrow.

Dreams tried to shake me.

Grace kept me at 6:31.

Kids felt different.

Prayed organic.

Gym brothers prayed with me.

Documenting so my kids can read later.

A lifestyle change can feel lonely but here’s what I’m learning..

Not everyone will follow your healthy active lifestyle.

As much as we care deeply about our loved ones, we have to love them enough to also give them space, time and opportunity to choose their own path.

We can lay out the foundation, show them the evidence, results but it’s up to them to decide if or when they want to make a change.

If you’re reading this right now- struggling with your vice, can I just encourage you that you don’t have to make a dramatic lifestyle change.

Just make one small adjust, create a system so that you live a life of consistency heading in the right direction.

For those who are still committed to a healthy active lifestyle, keep going. Your family and friends are watching to see how long you’ll stay consistent so make them proud of you.

And if they doubt you, keep going to prove the haters wrong .. but with love. No pride , just in a way where they will be the one coming to you for advice.

God bless you 🫡👑💯🙏
