We provide rentals and lessons for this active lifestyle. Check out our recent remodel please! Two local San Diego brothers, Kelly and Larry Kraus, found their passion in skateboarding and surfing when the industry was still unknown to most. Growing up on the coast in the southernmost house in the southernmost city, Imperial Beach, CA, they discovered their true talents. However, these IB natives

eventually migrated north to Coronado in the late 1970’s, where they would go from surfing big waves at the Tijuana Sloughs to getting barrels at Coronado’s heavy surf spot: Outlet. They would eventually travel the world’s oceans, befriend industry favorites, and turn their dream into a reality. It was the radical elements of the 80’s that truly paved the way for what is now known as ‘Emerald City’—a cultural codename for Coronado's once evergreen barrels and ties to the Wizard of Oz. Opening in 1988, this core surf & skate shop really knows its stuff.
