I just finished packing up suits from my last round of work & sent them off to their new homes where I hope they’ll be as loved as they were through the making process. 🤍
There is truly much that goes into each individual order, I sometimes forget how many steps are involved from the time an order is placed to the time it leaves my hands and 😮💨
To give you guys a glimpse, I start with printing packing slips. Generally I’ll bundle same fabric orders for ease when cutting. Next I cut out each piece by hand including straps and strap loops. I put each order into its own individual baggy and once I’ve cut everything I need to cut I move onto construction of the suit. I use two different machines and sometimes even three to fully finish each piece! I start by attaching elastic where needed and I hand turn straps then finish each piece off with a closing stitch. Once construction is complete I attach hang tags by hand, print shipping labels and attach them to mailers. I fold up each order nicely, package them with a thank you card and stickers when we have them, put them in their mailer and seal them for send off! It’s a lengthy process but always worth it. 🫶🏻
