Today, vision and eye health took an important place in the national conversation as Health Care Alliance for Patient Safety (HCAPS) Chair David Cockrell, O.D., joined leaders from HHS, CMS, the Office of the Surgeon General and NIH to discuss pediatric and adolescent eye and vision health, including the growing impact of myopia on America’s children.

The AOA is proud to partner with Johnson & Johnson, CooperVision and EssilorLuxottica in supporting HCAPS and ensuring the perspective of doctors of optometry is represented in conversations shaping the health and well-being of our nation’s children.

When national leaders come together to address children’s health, eye and vision health belong at the table.
