Excited to support Glacier View Coffee with their Tips for Charity program. Stop in to get your very own Glacier View tee and support breast cancer awareness.
With the Glacier View Coffee Tips for Charity program, it is always our intent to have the charity we choose be a Covington area charity. But for October, we are going to move out of just the immediate Covington area for something a little bigger. For many years, October has been well known for being Breast Cancer Awareness month. In the last year, the Haines family has come face to face with the reality of breast cancer within our family. Our sister, daughter, aunt, and more, Beth Haines Humphrey, has been undergoing treatment since late last year. While it is not the style of our family to make public much of what is going on with us, we will say that things are very positive for Beth at this point.
In honor of Beth’s battle, for October, all Glacier View Coffee tips will be donated to the UVMC Foundation and earmarked for breast cancer education and awareness. There is no arguing that early detection is one of the strongest forces in the treatment of breast cancer. So these funds will help to get the breast cancer message out to those who need to see it.
Also, in another great collaboration with Well Worn Clothing, we have created a pink Glacier View T-Shirt for October for our staff to wear in their rotation. We have produced a limited number of additional shirts to sell to the public, with all profits also going to the UVMC Foundation as well. Shirts are $25 and available by stopping in to see us at GVC.
