Hi friends. As you may remember, our last alpacas went to their new home at GoodShipp Alpaca Co. last year. And I sent my last shipment of alpaca fleece to a mill around the same time, May 2023, and they assured me I'd have it back by Christmas 2023.
This mill (not my original mill) has effectively stolen my fiber. I asked them multiple times what the status was, and was told there were delays, time and time again. I was told I'd have it for KSFF (May 2024). That was a lie.
As of July 1, I had told them I didn't care if it was fully processed, I just wanted it back. I was sent a shipping label on July 1. But the package was never shipped, UPS said it has never been picked up. I've asked again and again. They have now ghosted me. I tried to get help from a lawyer, but that hasn't materialized.
I wanted to try to get it back in time for one last festival, SIFAF, in October. But, it's approaching October and... nothing.
I am out of stock of almost all yarn. I really wanted to have one more round processed, 36 pounds of fantastic fiber. I was supposed to get some amazing yarn and spinning fiber. But I was robbed. YOU were robbed. I lost my deposit and all that fiber!
I'm pretty devastated. We are going to end the business at year end, I believe. I'll do a sale of all my remaining products soon.
I keep seeing more people liking our page, and I appreciate that. Watch for a sale soon. 💔🦙

Hey friends! Word has it that we are about to get some new alpaca socks in! We participated in a regional coop project combining fleece from Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio alpaca farms. Here's some images of the new labels and colors. Let me know if you need some socks and what sizes, so I can make sure you get them before Christmas!

And just like that, our last shearing day is in the books! Tomorrow all these boys and girls will be heading to a new home, less than an hour from us. After 11 years, our alpaca adventure is coming to an end. We've enjoyed so many good times, but with my bad knees and back, three years of struggling with the pandemic, and wanting to enjoy some traveling and other fun without the stress of farm life, we've decided to remove the livestock from our lives. We will still have fiber and alpaca products for at least another year, so keep an eye our for sales and specials!
