In just one month in Florida, the Crystal River Scarecrow Fest takes place as one of the Gulf Coast’s most beloved fall events, bringing a 35-year family tradition to downtown Crystal River! On Saturday, October 10th, Heritage Village and the surrounding downtown area fill with fall decorations, costumes, games, vendors, food, live music, and plenty of colorful photo spots. You can stroll along Citrus Avenue, browse booths from local businesses and organizations, enjoy festival food, and see the creative scarecrow displays that give the celebration its name. Kids can enjoy free activities while adults can find beer and wine available during the festival. Admission is free, making it an easy outing for families spending the day along Florida’s Nature Coast. The fun continues after the daytime festival at Crystal River Town Square with the free Crystal River Nights Concert Series from 5 to 9 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and settle in for country music, with Ridge Country Band opening before hometown favorite Rick Lynn Band takes the big stage for the evening. It gives you a day of small-town fall fun before an evening of music in Crystal River.
