Hi. I wrote a blog post. It wasn't like riding a bike. šŸ˜

Too often in the last few years, I've been reminded to prioritize the quality of life. No more only chasing success and instead prioritizing living intentionally and living good. Many times this means saying "no," adding in self-care routines, and making sure I'm invested in the relationships in my....

Leather and limbs that’s what last week was made of.

Our yard is still littered with limbs that broke during last weeks ice storm but today we are in the office focused on leather patch hats and prepping for the holiday season with a ship day and good ol office organization.

If you didn’t hear last week a shipment of these beauties came in and it’s been so dang exciting to get them packed and in the mail to everyone who ordered over the weekend. It’s so fun when y’all’s favorite is also my favorite. Back in all three colors!

Do you ever look at simple things and wonder what their story is? I don’t know if it’s the curious or the storyteller in me but I don’t just wonder about people’s stories.

Who installed this? Was it for a window purpose or just repurposed to help fill in the wall? Why did they choose this window style? Is it original to the property? I wonder....

Do you do this? Just me?

Sunday’s. A day for homemade breakfast, pasture rides and steak for dinner. I haven’t done the last one yet but that’s the plan.

What’s your ideal Sunday?

Stopped by Festival In The Park earlier today. It was great to see people outside enjoying themselves, listening to the music, and smelling the food.

I found a cute handmade piece for the office bathroom I’m so excited about. I was just looking at them online last week so to find one local was an easy sell!

I daydream about owning our own general store, merc, farm store or country store so it was a dream come true to visit last week.

It’s been alive and well since 1896! I believe it’s had about 9 owners and has never closed its doors even after the original owner was killed just months after the store opened. The population listed on the sign out front is current but may be off by -1 according to the cafe next door.

If you visit you will be met with history, charm, and friendly faces. There’s fuel, a bar, post, merch, snacks, antiques and furs. Everything you would expect from a old general store.

Truly a gem I hope to visit again. If you are ever near there make sure to stop by.

You may never catch me riding a pony but I’ll pet any willing farm animal any day of the week.

I call it . Not cheaper than traditional therapy if you are the one who owns the stock but 10/10 would recommend.

We are shifting gears!

If you follow our stories you have heard me talk about us being in the middle of creating a course. This is new territory so I wanted to explain a bit more.

Industrial Tradition will continue to be what is has been. As a brand that is dedicated to nurturing and celebrating rural America and the people who live there it was never only going to be stickers and tees. We plan to carry a wider variety of products in the future and the dream has always been to be multi-faceted.

When we asked ourselves what small towns need we looked at our own and answered ā€œcommunity based businesses.ā€ Not just the community that gets together here and there but a consistent opportunity for community. Thriving smalls towns are equal parts community, commerce and trade work. This is when the ideas for creating digital courses was born.

We believe that what we have been learning and doing online for the last four years could transform any small town or small business. So we are setting out on a new adventure to share with you what we have learned about fostering community virtually, creating business growth and how that ties into traditional ā€œold schoolā€ small business. Then we will teach you how you can do it all from scratch without being a tech guru. That’s right. We are going back to basic and building a foundation you can stand on!

So... I’m curious. What you think the first course will be about? Or better yet - what do you want it to be about?

I could tell you everything this photo means to me but I hope I can show you instead.

A lot will have to go right, a lot to overcome, a lot of help and a lot of grace. I’m clinging to hope because without it I wouldn’t have the tenacity that it is taking to be an entrepreneur and farmer.

May we all continue to go after our passions no matter how many s**t storms we have to endure.
