I saw this delphinium on Pinterest and I had to make one. Of course I wanted to make the blue one but I did not have any blue fabric the right color. So I dug around in the purple stash and found enough to make me happy. I was not sure I would find enough of the black, but I had a secret tub of that and found I had plenty! Fabric is an addiction worth having. This will fit perfectly on my door when I get it quilted and bound. Now to beg friends for blue. I certainly don’t need to buy more fabric…

Todays gorgeous little quilt. So much fun stuff. It reminded me of Maine for some reason. I sure loved the pine trees. The sail boats were delightful as well. Nice job Laurel.

Fun t-shirt quilt on the frame today. All the shirts are about running and the backing is nothing but runners. Really nice. Nicely done, too.

I finally made it to Lake Farm Park quilt show today And saw all the beautiful quilts on display. The ones pictured here I did not make, but I quilted. Angela’s Bears, Leslie’s beautiful grandmother’s paper pieced flower garden wreath, Jen’s 365 quilt, Michele’s sunflower-like flower garden and Susan’s delightful appliqued and embroidered flowers, surrounded by many borders. I am honored to have been able to have quilts I quilted in the show, these ladies did a beautiful job piecing them. Congratulations to the ones sporting ribbons. There were many amazing quilts to see.

Ruthann certainly has no trouble working with bl@ck and white. Adding this gorgeous brown to it was a great idea. I’m surprised Tom didn’t screech to a halt when he stopped at the shop today, but then he needed to p*e and headed straight to the bathroom and didn’t pay attention to the quilt. He would have wanted one like this.

I love custom quilting. The back is as interesting as the front..this did not strike me as a double wedding ring quilt until just this moment as I look at the picture! My brain was seeing wedges (kites) and melons. It was fun to quilt.
