Things I have been working on…

The sunflower is coming along. When I paint with acrylics, I like to have that 3-D effect. This means many thick layers of paint that take hours to dry In between each layer. It does take more time, but the results are well worth it.

The rose is a request from a new client for a purse strap. This is the first time doing a rose on a strap. I drew out the design and I am doing a mockup to make sure my client approves before we start. This too will have that 3-D effect and has a few more layers of color to go, but I think it’s coming out quite nicely.

Cowhide tote with matching wallet…

I have decide to sell this duo that I made.

Black and white cowhide with black, soft, lambskin lining. Embellished with gun metal chicago screws secured with loc-tite.
Tote measures: 12” Tall x 9 1/2” Wide at the bottom, 12” wide at the top, 5” Deep at the bottom, 3” Deep at the top.

Matching flat wallet is the same cowhide and soft lining. Has black tooled leather closure with turquoise and silver rivets.
Wallet measures: 8” Wide x 5” Tall.

My friend recently lost her twin girls. From her pain of the loss, she started creating jewelry to help with overcoming her grief of their loss. This all began as a way to move through the grief of losing my twin girls, Avery and Emery. I started off just making pieces for myself. My dad has an Etsy store and makes all sorts of things, so I already had everything I needed to dabble in the jewelry making process.

As I made my first piece, I realized how much I enjoyed it and how good it felt to have something to focus my mind on other than the grief. So I kept making pieces for myself and found that I really loved creating them.

As I started sharing them on social media, several people started asking me to create pieces for them, and it got me thinking that maybe this was something I could do on a commission basis.

What I love most is the idea that every piece created will in some way be in memory of my girls, keeping their names alive and continuing to carry them forward into this world. 🩵🩷
