Welcome to Pickles & Charlie.� A few changes! (Surprised? No. Mixing it up is Classic P&C) Ok, about us and what you'll see here. We have ducks. 🦆 �A lot of ducks.� (See my story for ducklings drinking water. The cutest thing I've ever seen!) Aside from UPS and amazon, etc, visitors to my house typically arrive by air. (Or by waddling in, as ducklings do.) There are squirrels 🐿 with VERY questionable manners, a woodpecker who is constantly revamping his abode (MY tree), and one exasperated and opinionated goose.
You'll also find quilts here. Lots of quilts. �Quilting isn't the point...�...but stories need somewhere to live, and this is how I express my creativity. These days, all of my quilts seem to feature friends I have met in my own front yard! (Ducklings splashing into the brownie pan of water, anyone?)
I've developed entirely one-sided friendships with creatures who have absolutely no idea how much joy they bring me. (Well... except Mama Duck. She absolutely knows me and keeps a VERY close eye on me, even while allowing her ducklings within four feet of my chair... provided I don't move. 😂)
I spend as much time on my porch as I can, simply observing.� I notice. �I delight.� And I share.� (Highly recommend all three. I had no idea we had woodpeckers here until I started really looking into the trees!)
and I take a LOT of video. Only the Lord knows how many hours of DUCK FOOTAGE I have on my phone. 😬 So here we are.� Me… sharing my crazy critters with you. Enjoy a few pictures of the ducklings (they are getting SO BIG!) and Mama giving me "the eye." It is like a soap opera over here, so my bird feeder always has breaking news. ❤️
