Our 8th Annual was more than a success - We broke 4 records this year:
• This was the latest I’d ever started promoting the cause due to government shutdown, so I had about maybe 2 solid months (between my own life) of promo.
• This year we received the largest amount of mail in donations that we’ve ever received! I can estimate we had at least 150 lbs worth of goods that came through (that’s more than I weigh!)
• We created approximately 150 bags, including 13 baby bags! Which was more than we’d EVER created for a distribution day!
• This was the quickest we’ve ever completed our distribution day. We started at 9 am and ended before 4 pm! We usually wrap up around 5.
This was the first year we ever encountered the Health Inspectors - they’re not very kind - but all was in order so it was a very short visit. I have taken note that laws may change soon on this
So, though we’d gotten the least amount of monetary donations we’ve received in the past few years - we still
came out extremely successful with God’s grace!
